Hunter Fans 52" Port Royale Lighted Ceiling Fan Natural Iron Finish with Black Willow/Walnut Stripe Blades

Why would you put the switch to reverse the fan inside the light housing that has to be removed to change the direction. I don't want to have to unscrew the housing to get at the swtich!!!!

I wish the light gave off more light. I should have extended the fixture more than 36” from ceiling.

We upgraded a still working 2003 Hunter ceiling fan in our vaulted living room with the larger more modern 52” Port Royal. Installation by the electrician was quick and efficient. We love the remote and very nautical light globe.

So pleased with the quietness of the operation and the light dimming feature on the Port Royale fan. It is a beautiful accent on our enclosed porch!

Wish I had bought a better looking ceiling fan. The globe is clear, so once installed, you see the manufacturers labels and hardware just above the bulb. Looks cheap. Will try to find a globe that is tinted. Ugh. And it took the electrician 3 hours to install!

I really dont like how the switch to change the direction of the fan is inside the light fixture glass. When i want to change it around in the winter or fall I have to take the entire outer cage and glass off to do it. That seems like a very bad design flaw to me.

Everything i needed was in the box. I like the design and how it is different than the traditional light fans. It give more character to the design. When i turned it on it produces a lot of circulation. It will help save on my electric bill this summer. It was quiet when the fan part was turned on.

Everything but the decorative cage and blades are made from black iron. The cage is made from plastic. The black iron with the glass globe looks great together. The fan also comes with an Edison bulb that looks cool shown through the glass. The blades are reversible from light tan to dark espresso. The blade spinning direction can be reversed for circulating air in the summer and winter. The installation is laid out clearly so you can understand it and find the correct hardware and parts easily. The ceiling fan comes with a remote that can turn the fan on, control the speed, turn the light on and dim the light. There is a remote cradle that attaches to your wall so you lose the remote.

I’m happy to report that it’s up and whirling around beautifully. It’s chic and was easy to install. In fact, this was my husband’s first time installing a fan, and he had no issues. It’s also nice a quiet, which is a plus. Highly recommend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm looking to replace our bedroom ceiling fan for a few months and we're thrilled to receive this. It has a really nice design and compliments our more Bohemian decor even though it's a modern rustic design. The fan does an excellent job pushing air and I love the look over the Edison bulb fixture. Two issues with this though: 1) the fan direction switch is very inconvenient as it is located in the light fixture. You have to physically remove the glass to switch directions. Don't like that. 2) the remote is not very user friendly. It's difficult to dim the light. There are no speeds listed. Overalls I'm glad that we got this fan. It was relatively easy to install and does the job while looking great. I would recommend it.

It has a rustic, almost farmhouse charm to it, with a decorative Edison bulb light. It took my husband about 1.5 hours to complete the install. The directions were clear and simple, and it even comes with a remote to control the fan and light! I think my favorite part is that the light can be dimmed with the remote. I still can't believe how it transformed the look of our room. I'm very happy with this fan and plan on replacing our others in the house with Hunter.
