Hunter 48" Midtown Lighted Ceiling Fan Matte Black Finish - Modern Design with Integrated LED and Handheld Remote Control

Replaced a 25-year-old Hunter only because it looked outdated. The housing around the blades is misaligned such that gap between the light and housing increases and decreases as it spins. Quite noticeable but not causing a wobble. Not important but makes you question the quality. Too bad the remote does not change rotation as you have to reach the light glass cover to remove and reverse a slide switch. The old Hunter fan switch was easily accessible with a stick making rotation simple.

Not sure why this fan has so many iffy reviews. It is simple, modern, and stylish. I replaced a fan of another brand with this fan after the old one wouldn’t stop clicking. This fan looks great, provides ample light/air flow, and most importantly is silent. Bonus points for Hunter as I ordered this on a Friday and it was delivered on Sunday! I would recommend this fan and am considering purchasing again to replace another fan. The only negative I can think of is that I wish it came with a wall mount for the remote.

Straightforward install; printed instructions are very good- online YouTube video very helpful also. This fan is silent, just perfect for the bedroom; remote control works great, very convenient. 2 Thumbs Up.

Bought 2 - 1 works. Right out of the box, the fan hums and I tried all the trouble shooting info - its basically a bad motor - why aren't these tested at the factory!!! Such a waste of time and effort - I am asking now for a new motor but worse part is installing twice! Very frustrating quality from a good company and now not sure why they are going downhill.

This fan does not cool the way it is claimed. Maybe because of the 3 blades? I bought 2 for 2 bedrooms. Now for some reason one fan is malfunctioning. The light is dim and strobes and the fan stutter runs. I’m not pleased at all with this model.

It looks great very neat dimming lighting I wish it was a little easier to control for noobs like myself and pretty easy to install the instructions could be dumbed down a little bit more and less overwhelming, the fan is great and so silent and quiet and very powerful

I installed 2 of these for my daughter and we were sadly disappointed how little air flow they create. Also the enclosed bulbs are a joke, so dim. We replaced them right away. Looks is fine. The Hunter brand is not what it used to be. I'd avoid this fan, horrible value!

Not enough light. Difficult to find bulbs under 14 w to replace the ones which came with the fan. Purchased a white fan for my kitchen, but the remote control and wall pocket are black. Remote was not pictured when I ordered the fan online.

The light looks and works perfectly in our space. It was not clear that it was remote only.

It is very good looking and quiet. The remote is kind of strange with the option to dim not very user friendly. The fan is excellent

It is for a smaller space like a smaller bedroom or office. It is quite, but has a lot of power. It is SureSpeed guaranteed which has 20% higher air velocity than most fans. It really cools our entire area. It has an integrated light kit which provides just the right amount of light that we want. The best part is that it has a remote control so you can operate it without having to move. This is a great fan that looks and works wonderfully.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Midtown fan with LED light was a perfect addition for our living room which did not have a light before. I first took down the old fan that was in place that also was about the same length as this one and installed this fan without issue besides maybe a slight warning that the fan itself is quite heavy, so I recommend having an extra pair of hands, just until the fan is in place. Everything worked perfectly upon installation. The fan itself has several speed settings that are controlled by a remote that can be mounted onto the wall so it will not get lost. Max speed is amazingly fast and adds a ton of airflow to our living room. The light is also controlled by the remote, it is just an on/off button but I find the light to be comfortable on the eyes, not too bright but bright enough to illuminate the room quite well.

I made the choice to stick with the Hunter brand ceiling fan in my living room. Their fans are easy to install and very affordable. I love remote control feature to quickly change speeds without having to get out of bed. You can't go wrong with a Hunter ceiling fan.

I spray painted it to match my decor, and it applied flawlessly. Installation was fairly easy, and it completely transformed the look of my room. It tends to be a bit stuffy at night, but this fan REALLY cools it down. I thought the remote was a little much, but now that I've experienced it...I can't imagine life without it. Not only does it control the fan speed, but it also dims the light (perfect for bedtime!)
