Prolonged, direct heat can sometimes cause discoloration or damage to these types of materials over time. To ensure the safety of your flooring, we highly recommend placing a breathable, heat-resistant rug pad between the heated rug and your floor. Q: Can you have heavy furniture on this rug, like a sectional couch or coffee table?

A: Thank you for your question. Since this heated rug contains internal heating elements, it is not recommended to place heavy furniture directly on top of the rug. For the 8'x10' size, there is a designated safe area (within the yellow caution lines) where heavy furniture can be placed without affecting the heating function.
