Description

Sip your favorite merlot or Malbec in elegant style with the Vivant Red Wine Glasses from Riedel. Constructed from lead-free Tyrol crystal, these elegant wine glasses are perfect for a casual dinner with friends or romantic night in with your significant other. With the timeless design, this wine glass set includes four glasses that will look beautiful on any table setting or paired with any style of decor.

All Riedel glasses are dishwasher safe. If you are washing by hand, wash the glass under warm water (use detergent and rinse the glass carefully). To help avoid scratches, ensure your Riedel glass does not have contact with other glasses or metal. To avoid stains, use soft water. To remove stains, use white vinegar. To polish the glass, use two towels and never hold the glass by the base to polish the bowl as the stem could snap due to mishandling. Avoid storing glasses in the kitchen cabinets next to items with a strong odor, as this can taint the glass and influence the wine’s aroma.

Q: Are the glasses dishwasher safe?

  • A: Yes you can! However I've always washed mine by hand and wiped dry with a soft flour sack towel. I've found that glasses eventually get a unpleasant build up from the soap chemicals used in dishwasher

  • A: We recommend you use them for red wine for maximum enjoyment, but Riedel's philosophy is that you use the glass that works best for you. So if red and white taste great to you in that glass, you can use it for both.

I already owned some of these glasses and wanted to add some more. I purchased this item on line and it arrived broken due to inadequate packaging for shipment by Target. I would purchase this item again but I would not purchase it on line where Target does the packaging for shipment.

Best Value in Real Glasses

Over the last decade I've literally bought a dozen or more of these in both red, white, and burgundy sizes. At $10/stem these are far and away the best value in Crystal wine glasses. We use them every single day and generally break 1-2 a year as we do with our much more expensive glasses.

Don't waste your money.

We have had the white wine version of these for 13 years with not one issue. We have had this red wine set for not even a year and 3 out of 4 have broken. One broke in the dishwasher (and then we proceeded to handwash only). One just clear snapped off the stem when gently set on the counter. Another shattered into a million tiny pieces after a tumble from the coffee table to a thick carpet. Honestly doesn’t make sense. Something has changed in the quality of their glassware. Don’t wast your money.
