Daiya Deluxe Cheesy Macaroni Alfredo Style - Case of 8/10.6 oz

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So this was not for us. We had a really hard time finding this product at our local Kroger. It is not the tastiest. We feel like it is a difficult design was only so so. Not one that I would buy again. It was a bit chalky.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I decided to make chicken Alfredo with us and it turned out pretty good and we were actually quite shocked of it coming out of a box like that, and having a little packet of sauce, very easy to cook the sauce melted very beautifully. The consistency of it was smooth and you couldn’t even tell that it was without milk.

It smelt like it would be super cheesy tasting poring the sauce on top but that smell dose not match its flavor.Its not a bad option for those who have dietary restrictions but personally I probably won't get this item again.

The pasta cooks easily, doesn't stick to everything, and doesn't fall apart as I've seen with some gluten free pastas. The sauce is rich and sticky and is the perfect consistency for mac and cheese. I think it tastes as close to Kraft mac and cheese as you can get, while avoiding dairy and gluten. I have a special needs child who cannot eat dairy or gluten and also has difficulty chewing. It's really hard for us to find easy to prepare meals with variety that my son can tolerate, and I am so excited to have something new to add to his diet. He ate this product with great enthusiasm! I am looking forward to trying their other mac and cheez products.

Nothing extra needed to make the sauce, it's texture is like that "V" brand we all know. The flavor was good, I think I'll add some veggies like broccoli or peas next time to take it to that next level. Overall, easy and tasty side dish.
