Teamson Home Seneca Modern 6-Drawer Dresser with Live Edge Design, Metal Base & Durable Mixed Wood Construction

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The good: The Teamson Home Seneca 6-drawer dresser is a beautiful, modern piece. It is solid and heavy. The brushed gold base adds elegance while the living edge styled drawer detail is unexpected and beautiful. The drawers aren’t very big so this is a more compact dresser that I’m using as a buffet in my dining room. Nice overall quality. The bad: I put this together by myself and naively thought that because some of it was already assembled (the drawer sliders) that assembly would be relatively simple. It looked like You just had to assemble the 6 drawers then put the larger parts into place and secure. Only requires an Allen wrench (provided) and a Phillips screwdriver. 5.5 hours, loads of frustration and a painfully aching back later….the drawers aren’t aligned correctly because one side of the dresser is wide than the other and I can’t fix the alignment so I had to jam the drawers in. I think one of the biggest issues was that the instruction manual is essentially just images and you have to try and figure out what to actually do - I certainly made a couple of mistakes that cost me time and frustration to undo. All over the instruction manual is a QR code that says to scan for assembly instructions. When you scan, it takes you to the Teamson page where you enter the sku number of the item for the assembly video. But of course, I entered the number from the cover of the manual and it said item not found. I tried searching by name, etc but nothing worked so all I had to help me was the instruction manual with bad images. Super annoying. Teamson - please ensure all your products have assembly videos particularly if the QR code is all over the manual saying it’s available. I would buy this product but I would probably hire someone to assemble it next time. Maybe then the drawers would actually work!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Teamson Home 6 Drawer Dresser is very well made. It is of solid wood with a modern design. The dresser has a metal base which elevates the piece even more. I love the natural wood finish. This dresser is very sturdy. To me the piece could easily be more than just a dresser. It could be a tv stand with storage, a foyer table with storage or a credenza in a dinning room. The ball bearings in the drawers make opening and closing easy and quiet. I removed a star because at times the directions were not easy to follow and at times seem to be missing steps. Some of the angles are very hard to get the screws into place. So please be careful when building. Overall a very nice solid piece of furniture.
