Not worth the hassle

This item is very difficult to put together because the leg holes do not line up to the bench even with all screws 50% screwed in as the instructions show! I’m extremely frustrated and have had to walk away and come back. I flipped legs and got one side on but now the other side is not lining up and I’m thinking this is a return or non-perfect item because as the paint strips away it looks like this was maybe returned for the same issue as there is rust present. I’m strongly thinking about returning but not sure if I can without the box. This item should come pre assembled!

Received and assembled this around the first week of April. It is mid-May and a squirrel has already destroyed the bottom of it with chewing. There was no food in it, just garden tools. It is too late to return now. Beware if you have any backyard pests!
