Applicator is harsh when applying
I love the Kiehl’s brand, but was incredibly disappointed with the lip balm. I don’t remember it have such a scratchy flat dispenser. It hurts to apply unless you use a finger tip.

New formula is unusable
I’ve used lip balm #1 every night for years. I recently started a new tube, and I noticed it was much paler and a different texture. I started waking up with dry lips, so I checked the ingredients against my old tube. I noticed the ingredients have changed. Very disappointing, I loved the old product and am not going to use it anymore.

I was seeking a good lip balm for ages...
One of the best lip balms thus far, lips are completely hydrated and it doesn't leave a residue, you just don't feel like something is on your lips, it is so light. I love it!

The women in my family have always sworn by Kiehl’s products and now I get the hype. These lip balms are perfect to have everywhere you go. They’re super smooth, they last a whole, and are pretty neutral! I like that they aren’t sticky!

I'm so sad, first Kiehl's discontinued the flavored lip balms, but being a loyal customer, I stayed with it. Now, I have some strange balm that is cloudy and doesn't work. Please bring back the old formula with at least a couple of flavors asap!!! We need it!!! Until then, I'll keep trying other company's products. What a sad thing.

Too little, too late!
I was just about to order this lip balm. I too, have been using it for years. Nope! Not after reading these reviews! Thank you to all the reviewers who took the time to call out Kiehl’s shady tactics. As for Kiehl’s…go ahead and keep promising to “take the feedback to your quality team”. Too little too late. I’ll cherish what little supply I have left, and never order from you again.

Actually vile.
I used to love the #1 lip balm pre-formulation but now it’s actually unusable. It’s so liquidy it basically leaks out of the tube and it makes my lips drier than not using any product at all. I would recommend checking out a certain other cosmetics company who, after receiving bad feedback about their new lip product formulation, reverted back to their original formula.

Disappointing
The has been my go to lip balm for many years. But lately I’d seems like there’s a new formula that is cloudy rather than clear and doesn’t last. At all. Used to be able to apply once in the morning. I feel like I’m applying every few hours now. Wonder if it’s on purpose. Deeply disappointed.

Bring back the old formula.
My mother has used Kiehls products since the 60s, I have used Kiehls products quite literally my entire life. The lip balm has been a staple, I would keep them everywhere!! I was loyal!! But now, I’m not. Noticed all my million tubes I had all started looking low, replenished my supply and I knew immediately something was off. The new formula is so bad it’s not even funny. It is DRYING, it has a weird texture, and quite honestly the product feels cheap. I am resorting to cutting open old tubes to try and salvage any of the old formula I can. Kiehls, this was such a bad move. And I’m not alone! Look at the reviews, and that’s just from the people who like myself feel so strongly about it that they come and let you know. Think about all the customers who share these thoughts but are no longer buying your products in silence! Bottom line—We want the old formula or nothing at all. Don’t fix what’s not broken, THAT would be a better buisness move.

A legend. An icon. Ruined. Disappointed is an understatement. I’ve been using this lip balm for 30 years and the new reformulation is terrible. You’re better off buying chapstick. So sad. I would give ZERO stars if I could.

Lip balm #1
the consistency and texture of this product (lip balm #1) used to be our ultimate family favorite for so many years. The blend has changed to a white color instead of the more oily yellow. It does not moisturize lips anymore or give any shine. Bring back the original!

i’m like many others, long time fan of the original lip balm, over 20 years! opened this new formula and instantly thought something was off, this stuff just doesn’t work, it’s thin and feels oily, definitely will not purchase again!

Don’t buy this!
Don’t buy this! I tried to use my lip balm tonight and a steady stream of liquid poured out of the tube, ugh!! Plus the new formulation pales in comparison to the old one— it’s going in the trash. I’ve been a loyal Kiehl’s customer for 35 plus years, but won’t buy their products again. Too bad, it’s used to be a great company.

All of their products are made for all skin types
I love all of kiehl's packaging, effectiveness, performance, scents, and long list of products to choose from. I have used this brand for more than 30 years and I have to brag about how pleasant every aspect of owning their products are. There is not a single product manufactured by this company who is sure to be in the skin game for years to come that I can even imagine saying negative about.

Do not be misled by the packaging. This is not the same formula, the product is not the same color or texture as before. This gave me an immediate allergic reaction and cheilitis.
