    It’s exactly what it is.

    I’ve started using this product. No…it doesn’t taste good. It’s algae! Smells like a fish tank. It’s not cheesecake. I just hope this is grown in a controlled environment. I’ll continue taking it.

    NOW Sells Great Products - Except Spirulina Powder

    We have always received high quality products from NOW and we were expecting the same with the spirulina powder. My wife, who has been taking spirulina powder for nearly 40 years, decided to try NOW spirulina powder after the supplier she had been using for all those years was not restocking it. On opening the powder, the unpleasant odor of cow urine was the first thing she noticed. She tried it anyway and the powder made her physically sick. We will not be purchasing spirulina powder from NOW again.

    Great energy boost

    I was thrilled to find Spirulina on sale, so bought two. The order came within two days, though I didn't pay for fast delivery. I'm pleased with the product. I add it to my daily shake and find it gives me more energy. I'd like to know the source of the Spriulina, and have tried to find out to no avail. All told though, I recommend both Spirulina and Swanson.

    Good standard quality

    I eat spirulina for the past 15 years on a daily basis. This is a good standard quality spirulina. I regret that the company does not report its sources of its spirulina. Moreover, on the label they should report how much phycocyanin is in the spirulina.

    First Thing In the Morning...

    . I make it a point to take it first thing in the morning with a glass of water, and I can tell the difference in my energy levels... I am 50 this year, and love to stay active... This is a natural food source of course, and that is what I seek for the most part as it concerns my supplement intake... Lots of minerals within this product that our bodies need, and it is organic as well...

    Excellent Product

    Very pure product. Tastes great mixed with Barley Grass Juice Powder and a carrot juice and orange juice mixture. Green powder tastes never bothered me. They taste like they are good for you.

    I agree with the previous post about the taste. This is not pleasant tasting. This is also my first time taking Spirulina so I don't have anything to compare it to. I'm not sure what to expect but as of now...consuming this could be a challenge! Does anyone have any suggestions as to what they like to mix it with? I've tried water with lemon (tolerable). Thank you!

    This is an amazing product & I can immediately feel it. I make a smoothie every morning with half an avocado, Kal nutritional yeast, NOW spirulina, whey protein, & some Swanson's organic cocoa powder. I find it very tasty & satisfying.
