  • A: quick answer: yes. It's the thickness and consistency of aquaphor, if you've used that before. It's clear-ish like neosporin and amazing for the winter. It's absolutely wonderful, if you are an eczema sufferer, like myself. It is an absolute MUST if you ski/snowboard and deal with windburn. It's gentle enough to use on extremely sensitive cracked skin. The fragrance-free version of this hand cream is truly fragrance-free. This is what I grab when I have an eczema flare up but don't need my super expensive medicated stuff.

    Formula change for the worst :(

    I have been a devoted user of this product for at least 14 years. The most recent tubes are made with a thin, ineffective product that has an odd smell. I thought it was in my head until I woke up with dry hands for the first time in decades. It is time to breakup and find a new handcream.

    changed formula!

    Why did they have to change it? It used to be thick, clear, and without a scent, but now it's almost white, thin, and has a strong chemical smell. I used to buy multiple tubes every winter but can't stand the new formula. Almost every Neutrogena product I use has changed formula for the worst recently. I guess they just hate their customers.

    Unfortunate changes

    I have used this for years and I am very disappointed in the changes. It says fragrance free but it has a notable scent that it never did before. The product is thinner and whiter. It used to be thick and clear. It doesn't rub in and disappear like it used to. I'm sad about this.

    I have used neutrogena hand cream for 40 years. All my adult children (8 of them) and my husband use it. I've recommended it to all my friends and relatives for years. No more. You changed it, and now it's just another hand lotion. Bad move. You will lose lots of customers.

    Just as good as everyone says! New HG!

    I’ve known this was a cult classic for a long time but never got around to trying it in the past. My hands get INSANELY dry, especially in the winter, because I’m a compulsive hand washer and live in a dry environment. This stuff is a game changer and my new holy grail. I hate hand creams with oily textures that take forever to rub in. It needs to be light, intensely hydrating, and lock in that hydration too. This is the only hand cream I’ve tried that I don’t dread putting on. It’s interesting though, because when it comes out it’s not a lotion consistency. It’s almost more of a balm, like Vaseline or something. But it’s intensely hydrating. I can tell there is a silicone type of slip but it doesn’t bother me at all, and I hate silicone heavy products. This just makes me hands feel silky and hydrated for hours and hours. It heals super rough hands quickly. Need to buy a backup.

    Not greasy

    This product is great for my dry and cracked hands. I have dry skin and being outside and working in cold makes it worse to the point they crack. This product heals them and prevents further damage without any residue

    Thick hand cream that can also work in other dry s

    This is my mom’s holy grail hand cream, so I’ve been influenced a few times to get it. It’s quite thick and needs to be rubbed in, but doesn’t leave any visible residue behind. It does leave my hands a bit tacky which if I’m typing or going to bed is totally fine, but if I’m moving around touching different things (or in the kitchen) it’s not my go to. But, it’s thick and very healing for dry skin and has no scent (or very faint natural scent?) so recommended for sensitive people too.

    New hand cream obsession

    I’m obsessed with this hand cream. My hands have been cracked and splitting in the knuckle from dry winter air. My dermatologist recommended this to me and I’m so glad she did.     Don’T like the new formula

    I Used to love this hand cream. They changed the formula. Hate the scent, now it turns white as im rubbing it on, and it seems slightly thinner. I used to love the thicker CONSISTENCY. Bring back the original formula

    This cream really moisturizes the hands well. But it adsorbs poorly, it’s very thick and sticky. And I even had to cut open the packaging to get the cream out.

    Relieves dryness quickly

    It’s worked really well for me and it relieves dryness quickly while making my hands feel softer almost right away. Since it’s a concentrated formula, a small amount is enough, because using too much can feel a bit sticky and take longer to sink in. I recommend it for very dry hands, especially if you apply a thin layer for a more comfortable finish.

    Extremely moisturizing

    This is one of the best hand creams I’ve ever used for moisturizer. It’s so thick and work well, especially in the winter. The price point is also very good. I only wish the ingredients were cleaner as I have very sensitive skin.
