Developed with dermatologists and formulated with the anti-itch ingredient, Pramoxine Hydrochloride 1%, CeraVe Itch Relief Moisturizing Lotion for Dry and Itchy Skin temporarily relieves itching due to insect bites and sunburn, as well as helps soothe dry skin. I have mild eczema and I thought this would prevent me from scratching as often, but it doesn’t. So, I had to buy cortisone cream, which was a bummer but I still use it after showers. I would say it is moisturizing and it feels great on my skin. The cap locks when you turn it, which I really like in case I pack it for traveling. There’s a subtle lotion smell, but it doesn’t make me sensitive.

I don’t think this worked very well. Did really nothing to my skin good or bad. I would skip this product again and instead get cortisone 10 cream.

CONS: 1. Price 2. Stains white and pastel clothing and linens 3. Doesn't work any better to relief itching than cheaper lotions PROS: 1. Target allowed me to return it. 2. Its CeraVe, a brand I usually love. OVERVIEW: I will continue to purchase CeraVe, but not this lotion.

My son has extremely dry, itchy, and tight skin. Cerave is the only product that deeply moisturizes his skin and provides relief. It does not have any fragrance, which is great because that can be irritating. This is one of the products I stand firm and believe in.

So good for insect bites! I’ve applied this product for many insect bites especially mosquitos and it effectively reduces itchiness. The only minus I would say is the stickiness of the product but other than that it is great!

After some skin damage from shingles, this seemed like something worth trying. I use other cerave products every day, so I know my skin is generally good with the brand. I chose to use this also because it is steroid free. I found that it offered a small amount of itch/irritation relief, but that it has a bit of an odd smell and after a time my skin actually felt drier rather than moisturized, so I’d end up adding something else over top. I’ll keep it on hand for sunburn and such as we enter summer, but it isn’t my favorite from the cerave range.

I am a long time user of Cerave bath products. In the winter my skin gets very itchy. And with year round allergies this also makes my skin itch. I've tried various products for relief but, really could not find anything that did a great job. So, I tried Cerave. Yes, it is a bit expensive but, nothing takes care of my itchy skin like Cerave. One thing I found is an extra benefit is this is very good for the itching of bug bites. This I recently discovered. I got a what I think was a spider bite and the itching was driving me mad. I checked for some relief as anti itching cream really did not do much. However, online Prevention magazine had recommendations and the Cerave body cream was one. I had the cream and tried it. Ahhhhhh. Relief immediately. Yeah, you have to keep reapplying but, the relief is heavenly.

A lifesaver for my dry itch skin. As soon as the weather get cooler my legs get so itchy and dry and this lotion can help get get through the whole day without it feeling itchy. No scent and great for my sensitive skin. Leaves my skin glowing and moisturized

I was visiting my mother and in the dark I pumped some of this lotion and put it on mg face. It burned so bad I had to wash it off and it still burns. Keep off of your face and eyes this stuff feels like acid.

I can attest to its effectiveness in providing momentary relief from skin itchiness. The unscented formula was a plus for those sensitive to fragrances. However, my experience revealed a notable downside – the relief didn't have a lasting impact, needing to frequently reapply to maintain comfort. While the lotion did offer a temporary relief, it fell short of delivering a long-lasting solution to persistent itching. Its performance, though satisfactory, didn't quite live up to the expectation of a transformative remedy. CeraVe's product certainly holds its own, but it didn't quite reach the level of providing the enduring relief I had hoped for. Overall, it worked adequately but didn't achieve the miraculous results I was seeking.

I have been searching for a product that helps with my seasonal itchy dry skin. I am actually from a very hot Tropical country called Belize. My skin suffered tremendously while I lived in Belize. I came to the US and again, my skin battled the winter months here and so far, I’ve had all good things to say about this product! It works amazingly well!

Cerave itch relief cream has been a lifesaver. I suffer from a rare skin condition, lichen planus, and the itching can drive a person mad. This cream helps soothe and calm my flare ups so I can sleep or just get through my day. It’s a nice thick cream that goes on smooth and soaks in fairly quickly and works quickly to soothe the itch.

OMG every few weeks i have severe itching in my legs. Scratching becomes pleasurable to the extent of excoriating the skin and superficial bleeding (i am on aspirin and plavix. No skin disease or underlying disease or psychiatric issues. Only dry skin. Steroids do not help. My wife brought CERAVE for me. Applied on skin of legs. INSTANTANEOUS relief from intense itching. Relief lasted for about one week and now I need re-application with similar immediate relief (ie I do not become resistant to the CERAVE). Thanks for the CERAVE.
