The recent changes to the Quaker oatmeal, particularly the maple and brown sugar flavor, have sparked significant disappointment among guests. Many long-time fans feel that the new formula lacks the sweetness and creamy texture they cherished. However, some guests still appreciate its convenience and the healthier ingredients. The oatmeal remains a quick breakfast option, but the taste and texture have become points of contention, leading to mixed feelings about its current formulation.

Not up to you standards
The last 2 boxes of 8 that I have purchased Show no sign of brown sugar but a fine white powder that does not “melt”. What have you done to this previously delicious cereal? I am going to have to find a different brand. ☹️ I grew up on Quaker Oats.

I hate you changed your maple and brown sugar! I have bought my last box. Your cereal used to be good and smooth and now it’s lumpy and grainy. You had had good product and now wasted it for me. I’m done with this product.

Tooo Salty
New April 2026 formula?? The salt content is through the charts and tastes like, salt. Didn’t use to be like that. Disgusting

Not a fan of the change
Definitely way less sugar in the new recipe. I likely could have adapted to a gradual reduction in sugar. Long time purchaser @ 69 yrs. of age.

Changed not for the better
Something changed and its not good. Its palatable, But compared to the way it used to be... it's not as sweet, a bit more salty and lacks the creamy texture that I grew up with.

New formula is gross
I've eaten this oatmeal all my life and loved it. Recently I thought I had gotten bad batch since it tasted awful. Fake flavor and off taste. But a when another box was the same I went online to see if there was a change. And apparently they've changed the formula. It's awful. I guess I'll have to just make my own from unflavored.

Where's the oats?
I eat oatmeal for breakfast every morning, but recently, the quality has changed. There's more flour and less oats. Sadly, I purchased the 18 count packets and I have had to add dry oats to make up the difference. What is going on? The oatmeal tastes the same, but the ingredients have changed for the worst. C'mon, man. Why ruin a breakfast staple?!

Drastically different and not in a good way!
Eating this since I was a child and it is completely unrecognizable now. Ate one packet and throughout the rest of the box, it's absolutely terrible.

Too Salty!
The salt content is off the charts. It used to be my favorite flavor. Now it tastes like the bottom of a bowl of popcorn. Gross.

Your ingredients change SUCKS!!!
I thought I had found something I really enjoyed eating for breakfast and now you changed it up, to say it SUCKS is a understatement. I will try and finish this box I have, adding my own ingredients, but after that, you've lost me as a costumer. Did ya'll ever hear the phrase, If it ain't broke don't fix it. Bad decision on Your part.

Change with Instant Maple and Brown Sugar Oatmeal
I'm 73 years old and I've been eating Quaker Oats since I was a kid, but this Maple & Brown Sugar is the worst I've ever had. First of all, the box is the same size as before, but there was only 6 bags in it. That's my fault for thinking there would be automatically 12 bags. The bags are larger, but if you don't use a larger bowl, you'll have a big mess. I put a plate over mine and put it in the microwave; works every time until now. The taste is horrible! You get more powered stuff than oats and whatever the powdered stuff is, it's not maple and brown sugar. One of your comments said it tasted like dirt; I agree! I threw half of mine out! You'll be losing millions of customers if you don't straighten this out soon because there are other alternatives.

BRING BACK THE OLD AND GREAT!!! FORMULATION!!!
This new formula is tasteless compared to the old one. 😞 I usually don’t like to give bad reviews, and customarily only take the time to praise. But this relatively new formulation of your single-serve oatmeal is just really so very awful that I think it’s important that you are informed. 😞 In addition to taste, the vitamin fortification took an hit, too, apparently, in the newer formulation. How do I know? I have very sensitive gums. And I noticed that whenever I consumed the old version, the Quaker brand single-serve variety packs, the apples and cinnamon, or maple 🍁 and brown sugar, or cinnamon and spice flavors, my oral gum tissue improved! So the fortified by B-vitamins old version was doing something healthy and good!! 👍 I do understand your logic: simpler natural ingredients is the consumer trend. But sometimes, and this is one of those times, I believe, it’s best not to mess with a good thing. And you had a really good thing going with your old formula. And I can see by the other comments of former!! habitual consumers, I’m by far not the only one complaining. PLEASE!! 🙏 Consider bringing back the old, and obviously beloved, formula. I bought it ALL the time and considered it a healthy addition to my diet. Now, I don’t buy it AT ALL! (And I wonder about the other disappointed consumers. Have they also abandoned you?) Especially give the B-vitamins fortifications a reconsideration. I bet there were many, many young kids who greatly benefited from them - as well as learned that something as healthy as oatmeal could compete - and win! - for their breakfast attention and consumption. Thank you.

made me want to die and rip out my tongue.
this was quite possibly the worst thing that I ever tasted. this oatmeal was so bad that after just one bite I thought about ending it all right there just form the taste. I will never be buying this flavor ever again and honesty it is a disgrace to the Quaker name. This was nothing but a money grabbing remake of a well done original for no other reason than corporate greed
