Description
Play a ruff riff and rock out with the Woofer hound dog guitar! This electrifying instrument lets your toddler channel their inner Van Halen and experiment with a variety of funky features. Pick your musical mood from 3 different play modes: acoustic, electric, or hound dog. Compose your own song using a full C to C scale of 8 chords that smoothly fade in and out. Push the Music Note button to choose between 20 familiar songs, and then take the Strum button for a spin to play along. Every strum of the strings advances a song by 2 seconds, so keep strumming to keep the song going! You can also press the Doggy button for 9 Peppy Puppy songs. And if you feel like singing, go ahead and grab the lyric booklet! Make any song your own with additional sound effects, courtesy of the Whammy Bone button. Parents will also be happy to know that this dog guitar includes a trusty volume knob. End your rock concert by pressing Woofer’s nose, or he will automatically walk off the stage after 2 minutes of inactivity - now that’s a good doggy!

Q: Is the volume unusually very soft and hard to hear? We've tried turning it up all the way and changing the batteries but it makes no difference. Just trying to figure out if this is normal! Thanks.

Q: My son got one of these as a present, and it doesn't work :( is there anything you can do to help w/this? We changed batteries..etc...hes so disappointed..hes only 1.. i will have to go and buy him a new one.

Q: Some of the reviews state that the strap is a strangulation hazard? Can you remove the strap?

A: Hi AMJ. The B. Woofer strap has a center section held together by velcro pieces which can be removed. As well, it can serve as a release during play. Please make sure to remove the plastic tabs that are on the velcro portion of the strap before play. The plastic tabs are part of the toys packaging when new. The Battat Team

A: Hi Chris. The B. Woofer is recommended for children aged 2 years plus. It's woof'n good songs are fun for the whole family. I bought this for my nephew for his 6th birthday (that was a few years ago now) and I had so much fun playing with it while waiting to give it to him that when I gave it to him I went back and bought one for myself...a woman who is now in her 30s. $20 is such a great deal for what you get with this, 3 kinds of sound in one, the volume is adjustable and it's easy to sound good with it, but it's so fun for kids. I've had it for a few years now, and I had a baby last year so now she can play with it! It's one of the greatest purchases I've ever made, twice.

My little girl is blind & this is her favorite toy ever! We've gone through a few of them because she plays with them so much (no fault on the toy). It is scary to see all the reviews saying their child choked on the strap. I always cut ut before I gave it to her,luckily.They definitely need to change that feature.

Today, my son of 2 years had the string of the guitar around his neck, he started choking and making weird noises. Thank God that I noticed just in time. I had to cut the lace off and just keep the guitar to not prevent this again. I am making this review for all parents out there who have a underage child, be careful and always pay attention your kid. This guitar is incredible, there isn't anything wrong with it, my son has lots of fun with it. But just be careful and just take the lace off to make sure this won't happen to your kids. Thank you.

I bought this guitar 3x. The first one stopped working after a few months. The second one also stopped working after a few weeks. I called the toy maker and they said to use Duracell batteries. That did not help. I couldn't get a refund but I bought it a third time cos my son loves it. We were unable to replace the battery because the back plate would not pop out.

This toy includes the Stephen Foster song "Old Black Joe" that glorifies slavery. How is it in 2024 there are toys with a songs like this included in a toy for little kids??!!! Sample lyrics from the chorus of this song: "I'm comin'. I'm comin' though my head is bending low. I hear those gentle voices calling Old Black Joe." In 2024 this is soooo wrong.

I read reviews of people saying the strap got wrapped around their child’s neck. I can see this happening, but my daughter hasn’t had a problem with it. Then again I am always watching her, so parents who do single play, this is not a toy to have for them. I got this for my nephew who’s 20 months, despite this being a toy for 2+. He just hates the strap, but he loves the toy. My daughter is 3, this is their favorite toy. They put it on dog mode and play songs and dance around giggling. Best toy I ever bought. It’s been about a month now and they still work like brand new. This toy is pretty durable, but don’t blame the company for the toy breaking if your child is a rough player. It has a volume control which is great, but only until your child figures out how to use it. It is very easy to learn the controls, so a child should be able to turn this toy on and off and press all the buttons. All around, if I knew this toy would be THIS fun for them, I wouldn’t have wasted my money on all those other toys.
