Annie's Spirals with Butter & Parmesan Mac and Cheese - 5.25oz

This was gooood. My baby and me enjoyed the box!

Use by date is 5/5/27. The box says to include that. As I stated in my post about the Bunnies mix, I was excited to try Annie's dry macaroni and cheese mix in the fun, feel-good box, because I--somewhat irrationally, as we shall see--expected that a premium price tag would deliver extra--or at least a solid level of--cheesiness. The result? Nope: Not. Even. CLOSE. For decades, I have reserved a portion of the pasta from The Blue Box so that the ratio of the flavored powder rises versus the pasta, easily leading to satisfying servings. When I have a sufficient amount of macaroni in reserve, I use it for whatever I want. Sadly, I see that I must do that and much more with Annie's. I was forced to add a good amount of freshly grated Parmesan cheese in order to achieve anything close to an acceptable level cheesiness. I seriously regret having bought eight boxes, which, in a rare move, I only did because my preferred grocery recently offered an unusually low sale price. At least they are each of a differing variety, so hope springs eternal. Bummer. Wonder if someone else would want this stuff? I guess that I'll have to ask. [P.S. Tried adding butter, milk and fresh parmesan cheese and it still didnt taste as good as the normal Annies flavors. Just tastes bland to us, don't get a cheese flavor just butter.

So gross!

Strange reading reviews.. because this is BY FAR my favorite Annie’s mac and cheese. Maybe because I cannot stand mac and cheese in general but this is the only one that doesn’t taste disgusting to me. The sauce mixes much nicer than the others with no clumps. Obviously I get this for my kids and not myself..

I usually love Annie’s Mac and Cheese, but the butter and Parmesan has absolutely no taste to it.

the cheese packets in my box were broken and all over the noodles. tastes bad.

The new cheese sauce recipe is awful. This was a pervious favorite in our house and now all Three of my children find it “disgusting”. Please go back to the old recipe!

Are the contents of the cheese packet somehow a dangerous material? Your most recent update has changed the packaging so that you can no longer open the packet by hand. Presumably this is to protect the young and infirm from accidental exposure to the contents. A knife isn't typically something I have on hand when making Mac and Cheese, so it's somewhat inconvenient to fetch one just to open the packet. I imagine a small uptick in the number of accidental cuts in the universe as a result of this change, how ironic.

Horrible fake, weird taste to it. Would not buy this again. We even added butter to try & improve the taste but ended up dumping it all in the trash.

Have always loved loved your Mac n cheese and love it even more now with the cheesier tastes! But somethings gone wrong! The last 10 boxes of various flavors we’ve gotten in our local store has tasted burnt, sometimes even soapy. It’s happened over and over. Maybe something went wrong with the recipe when it was made at the factory? We’re baffled but won’t be able to buy anymore since we just tried our 10th box-hopefully- and this one tasted so burnt too! Praying we’ll figure this out since it’s our regular choice for lunch! Put three stars bc it was so good! Usually 5 stars! Lately a 1 star with this burnt taste.

MThis stuff smells weird. Like old stinky feet cheese. Gross. I dumped it out. 😣

I think this is a slightly controversial take, but the spirals have been the most fun shape to eat and they hold sauce well.

I love adding broccoli to my box Mac and cheese to make it more filling. I will say, for an adult one box is one serving. So for nights where you don’t really want to cook, making one of these is really easy and not expensive at all.

Missing the packet. Only came with pasta. Well eat the noodles but we’ll miss the butter parm.

The se are so good and the spirals help my baby be able to pick it up easier with her fingers to feed herself!
