Q: Are these wipes biodegradable?

  • A: Whoever keeps responding to this question with "no wipes are truly biodegradable or compostable, otherwise they would fall apart when you use them" is completely uninformed and must have an agenda. If they are made from plastic, NOT biodegradable, wood pulp or cotton- biodegradable. The thickness of baby wipes makes them NON-flushable because the swirling action of the bowl will not break up the cloth. I know for a fact the Jackson Reece baby wipes are 100% biodegradable and compostable. They sent me their test data and will fully biodegrade in a compost in 12 weeks. I have no idea whether Honest is using 100% biodegradable material or only a percentage of their wipe and then claiming it's "biodegradable". I suspect they still use at least some plastic in their wipes otherwise they would tell us what the material is, rather than using an asterisk next to their *biodegradable claim.

    Honest wipes are THE BEST.

    Honest wipes are hands down the best wipes I have ever used. They make the packs easy to get them out where you’re not struggling to get one out as you’re wrangling a wild baby! They are so gentle on the skin with safe ingredients and no harsh chemicals or irritants. I have used these for both of my boys (1&2) and we love them. They’re also durable - I can wipe down a face, hands, high chair, and still keep going with it if needed. Buy these wipes, you won’t regret it!

    Versatile and safe ingredients

    Thicker and bigger than almost every wipe brand I've tried, and I have tried many brands. They also are not too stretchy, which I find to be an annoying trait of many wipes. The wipes are moist enough, but the top wipes could be wetter. I flip the pack over when storing to help with this.

    BIG BOX!! I love these wipes after months of buying and trying sample sizes from all the brands while pregnant. the size is great, i’ve never had one rip on me, when the bag is emptier i do recommend pulling out 2-3 wipes before the change as they can pull a lot out on one pull, packaging is always nice, never has given baby a rash, and most importantly ALWAYS gets the gunk out and leaves a clean finish for the diaper cream/aquaphor.
