This is a very sturdy toy - as usual per Melissa and Doug items. It is nice that the mallets have a place to live inside the item itself. My grandbaby is not quite 3 but loves banging away on it!

Out of tune
The G (dark green) actually plays an F#. All the other notes are close enough to the intended pitches. Unfortunately, this makes it impossible to play any standard kids songs

Disappointed
Item arrived broken (see picture). My husband glued it back together. After 2 days of use the paint is chipping. The mallets are much bigger than the keys which makes playing notes feel very clumsy.

Paint is bad
It’s super cute but the red paint is chipping off the sticks and now I can’t have my daughter play with it until I find sticks somehow. Just chipped all over right when we started playing it. So bummed.

Flat C. It’s so flat I cringe. I love the design it’s very cute but not function or quality. Also, after less than a week one of the mallets chipped at the base and we had to throw it out.
