I bought 6 chairs. They are a very rich dark brown color and look quite elegant. The seat material is a dark brown corduroy type fabric. It kinda doesn't match the elegance of the chairs but I have a 4 year old, cats, dogs and I frequently have children over so having a beautiful seat fabric was never going to happen for me. So overall I'm pretty happy. My husband however was not happy with the assembly. The holes didn't line up properly (especially where the arms are) and we are going to have to exchange 2 chairs because the wood split on the arms. (And we have the aforementioned 4 year old So he has assembled a fair amount of items over the years). I'm a little bummed about having to exchange 2 but Target makes the process painless so I'm happy so far. But just be warned the assembly is NOT for beginners.
