Gorgeous, high quality, soft

I don't know why anyone would return this. I got this for my dogs because I figured it was better than spending the same price for three smaller stuffed toys. It's just beautiful, high quality materials, beautifully designed and amazingly crafted. I see some reviews that point out tiny imperfections such as a visible stitch or messed up mane. I didn't go over this with a microscope and a flashlight but I saw no issues with its construction. The mane will obviously be messed up after shipping...shake it out. The mane is lovely, very pettable. The face is the best part...doesn't look odd or unlikable. My dogs loves it and in the process of buying this and looking at all of Melissa and Doug plush toys I remembered that I loved stuffed toys as a kid, something I'd totally forgotten over the last thirty years. My dogs had a blast playing with it but I had to stop them from chewing on it (it's a play toy not a chew toy). It's just such a well made item and reminds me of how things used to be made many decades ago. I don't think anyone would regret buying this - it is worth the money and would make a great gift for a child OR adult. The color of the photos are very accurate.

Game changer

I absolutely love this lion. I love lion and I’m a collector of lions. I was surprise when saw how realistic it looks. From the fur to how well sculpted the facial looks. The face is hard instead of soft, which gives you that realism of a well structured face (like bone in the face). In the pictures you can not tell how well sculpted the face is. But trust me you will be disappointed. Also, my bed is a queen size bed and he pretty much take over the foot of the bed ( to give you an idea of how big he really is) I bought this lion for an event purpose but I will keep him in my bedroom instead.

This a Great companion for children of many ages

Great purchase

Great purchase. 4 year old grandson started playing with the tiger version right away and since his 3 year old brother had the lion, they both had fun as fighting cats! The expressions on both the lion and tiger are very sweet and they are very durably constructed which is a good thing. I have a felling they will get hard use from the first few hours of owning them.

Disapointed

After 1 month, the lion start to bend on a side. My son use to go up to it (like all children would do it i guess) and today the lion is completely bent. It's difficult to make it straigh like the beginning, i'm disapointed.

Love this lion!

My 7 yr old granddaughter absolutely loves this lion. He's been her constant companion since she received him. Very well made, with great lion features. This lion is big! He is about the same size as my 80 lb Labrador Retriever. Speedy delivery. Received this one day after ordering.

3 or 103, this lion will be a case of love at first sight :(

Ditto to all the other reviews—this is an absolutely wonderful lion, so much so that I couldn’t resist him at age 71. He’s extremely well-made with a beautiful, lifelike expression—especially his eyes. I ran into this guy by accident and found, as totally impractical as it was—i’m moving—I had to bring him home. I justified it because I had been reading a 2015 Smithsonian article about the ‘lion whisperer’, Kevin Richardson, before I left for Target and felt it was kismet, and, unfortunately, as close as hugging one as I’ll get in this life. (My giant rescue Komondor passed in 2014 and my MD, given the job she did on my shoulders, said ‘no more Komondors’, so for sure, lions are out.) This guy, however, is totally huggable, while being very close in quality to my much smaller 55-year-old Steiff and without costing anything close to a Steiff of comparable size. Just like with the other reviewers, practically every shopper who passed commented on him, most also asking what his name was—I think due to his ‘presence’. (Asian and Leo were suggested, but I need to get to know him better :) I hope this wasn’t too long-winded—obviously I recommend these lions on quality and price. PS: mine looks even better than the photos. I think the photo one’s fur has been flattened a bit, detracting from a more realistic mane.
