Stopped working a few months after purchase

The 460 replaces a previous Vornado fan, which finally gave out after many years of service. I've probably purchased a half dozen Vornados over the decades and will always look to this brand first. Circulation is quiet, wide and efficient, the controls are easy to use and the product is handsomely designed.

I purchased the Vornado 460 to replace my 5350 (when the plug became defective) after several years. The Vornado 460 is more powerful at its lowest setting than the 5350 and really cools the room. The noise on the lowest setting is more noticeable than the 5350 (which was very quiet) but the noise level is not a problem and I am a very light sleeper. It is easy to rotate up and down which is a plus since the 5350 required more effort. The only reason I gave the Vornado 460 Four Stars instead of Five is because of the placement of the switch which is behind the fan, which is a little awkward, instead of the side. But this is not a deal breaker considering all the other features and the fact that this is a powerful fan despite its size.

Bought it several weeks ago. The unit is being used to help move heated air from one part of the house to another, through doorway. It's to help prevent the thermostat from getting too cold.

The midsize, three settings, tilt able and lightweight Vornado is fantastic! We have two. On full speed, I can feel the air standing back 30 feet. Great fans.

The power is ok. It's not as good as i expected based on other reviews - doesn't really circulate beyond where you point it. Importantly, it's also pretty poor quality. The lever you use to change the power fell off and I barely use it. this is dangerous and makes it too hard to use the fan because it's hard to turn it off if the lever breaks off.

Moves a lot of air around and also wonderful noise machine

We were trying to get a quiet fan and this was advertised as quiet, however it’s too loud on its lowest setting for us.

This fan is less noisy, moves way more air, and is built more solidly than any small tabletop fan you can buy at any big box store. The metal slide bar that allows you to tilt the fan up and down is solid but very sensitive and has trouble holding the desired position. Would’ve given 5 stars if not for that one inconvenience. Overall great and would recommend.

I have a 630 and another 460 as well as two Vornado heaters, one better than the other!

This fan will be directly compared to its competitor Honeywell turboforce as thats what my previous fan was before upgrading. Don’t be fooled this fan may be prettier, fancier, and more compact but turboforce at its more humble 15$ gives you a powerhouse dollar for dollar allowing you to get two of those cost effective units after tax for still under the cost of one of these. But first let’s understand what both fans are trying to do. Honeywell turboforce achieves what any ordinary fan does. Personal one way directioned air cooling. The usual to the point function of any fan on the market; while vornado goes for its “vortex technology” which basically means it’s pushing air in a wider cone as it’s goal is to cool and move as much air as possible depending on size of the unit to attempt to cool the whole room. Turboforce is quieter and blows more air at you at a distance while vornado sacrifices that air to that wider cone effect but you might start feeling a bit cooler even with it not facing you since it’s doing it’s job to cool the room. Vornado does have an easier and smoother control and 180 angle steel bar adjusted to angle it up while turboforce does have a flimsier plastic to turn up as well. But in my honest opinion it’s all just down to price at the end of the day. And Honeywell without a doubt gives you great cooling for its low price making it such a huge hurdle for this vornado to overcome. I will replace my turboforce since this fan is technically better but do not be a stranger to turboforce when making your decision as that unit has helped me a lot during that brutal CA summer heatwave this year.

Nothing compared to a regular fan Quiet and notice the airflow clear across the room

I have had this fan in my bathroom for over a year. I use it daily as I do my hair and makeup. This fan is small but mighty. I just purchased another one for my desk area at work and have 3 other Vornado fans to circulate air in my bedroom, son's room and family room. My friends ask all the time about them because they move so much air! Saves on my A/C bill. Will never buy another brand of fan!

I bought one two years ago. I have loved it. Adjustable speeds and adjustable fan moves the air in the room very well. I bought these two as housewarming gifts because I have enjoyed mine so much!

OK, here is the review. I have not used it yet but every Vornado fan that I have bought I love. They really are fantastic fans. I already have four of them, all different models and that should tell you something. It’s winter here, almost spring and I’m sure my 460 will be just as good as all the other products I have bought.

I bought this fan 3 years ago and I really had a wonderful time using it, especially living in a tropical country, the gust of air it powerfully circulates is really felt in the living area of my condo unit. It is really durable as compared to Asian brands some not even lasting for two years. Highly recommend this product!

This fan is awesome! It’s a great buy worth every penny. Cools and circulates a big room fast!!! Love this fan!!!

While this works great, it is louder than expected. I own both the 460 and 560 version and did a quick sound check of both. The 460 (this one) measured in at around 61dB on the low speed using an app on my phone. The 560 (medium size) measured in at around 56dB on the low speed setting. Still works well but wish it was quieter.

Replaced a 10 year old fan with this after doing research and reading how it's a top pick. Pleased with it so far.
