Nice piece
I love the look, the size, the color, the hinges on the lid, and style but the inside smells like dirty socks. I've been airing it out for 2 weeks and still haven't been able to put my blankets in it. I'm not sure what the smell is from...being closed up for storage and shipping or the fabric that lines the inside.

Attractive and Useful
One can't go wrong with pieces that serve a dual purpose, IMHO. In my room and the guest bedroom it provides storage for linens and a seat for putting on shoes or a surface for a suitcase. I've had mine for several years now. No regrets.

Disappointed
Just a fair warning about this bench. It’s very sturdy and the fabric feels great. The inside is spacious. However, the color is nothing like the photo. The bench I received is grey and the legs are very light wood. The little studs are more of a silver when the picture shows them as more bronze. The bench does not fully shut, which leaves about an inch of space. For the price, I expected it to be as pictured. Now I’m stuck with either keeping it as is, attempting to ship this or finding a sitter for my kids to then take out their car seats and try to fit this in my small car to drive 40 minutes to my closest target to return.

SECOND one I've bought. Got the taupe then this grey for my daughter. Got it out to me fast when I mentioned my daughters birthday was coming soon. GREAT boxing. Bench wrapped inside a cloth 'bag' inside the big box, with corner 'protectors' on the bench edges, inside the cloth. Beautiful deep shade of rich gray. The photo doesn't do justice to the richness of the gray. Sort of velvety material. Dark legs. Chrome 'studs' around bottom. Top doesn't just slam down! You have to lower it. So, no slammed fingers.Just looks beautiful and fits perfectly at the end of a bed, or in a hallway. Great value, daughter loves. I love it!

Got this bench in Taupe over a year ago. I didn't realize I forgot to write a review until I was checking on buying ANOTHER one. Came well boxed. No dings, rips or broken legs. Dark wood legs. Modern without being 'sterile'. Nail heads around bottom. Just had to put the legs on it. They screwed on evenly. And the lid doesn't slam shut, you have to 'lower' it. So, no smashed fingers. Lid also sits evenly on top. No big gaps between it and the top of the bench.. Closes nicely. The fabric in this color is good. Not too shiny. Not really 'velvet' looking. Looks rich. Holds a lot in storage. Six standard pillows, or a LARGE thick blanket. It just seems smaller looking on the website photo's. It is bigger in person. Sits nicely at the foot of the queen size bed in the guest room. Centered nicely and not higher than the bed itself. And it holds my big husband (200 lbs) without squeaking or dipping down. Solid. Stable. Love it. Excellent price. Just can't recommend it enough!
