Any noticed scent in these products is a byproduct of the ingredients. All of our stainless steel cleaning products and our cooktop cleaning wipes feature a fruit scent, while our machine cleaning wipes smell like lemongrass and our disposal cleaner leaves a citrus scent.

A: No, Affresh washing machine cleaner should not be used alongside bleach in the same cleaning cycle. Mixing them is unnecessary and can produce harmful fumes. For best results, use Affresh alone on a hot cycle to remove residue, and then use bleach in a subsequent cycle for sanitizing - as long as you avoid avoid combining them in the same cycle, you should be fine. The cleaning cycle is designed to flush out the product after the tablet has fully dissolved. As for the fragrance, there is a subtle citrus scent that will be stronger upon opening the package than left behind in the machine. The strength of scented products being highly subjective makes it hard to say whether any particular user will find it to be 'strong' or 'mild'. Just know the product is indeed scented.

A: Some water with affresh enters the agitator, but the agitator mounted fabric softener dispenser remains largely uncleaned. The point at which you pour solution into the agitator is intentionally designed to maintain separation from the wash tub. Cleaning this entry point must be done manually. That said, the affresh solution does clean the agitator's underside/skirt and most of its interior. A: There are instructions on the package for how to run without a 'clean washer' cycle. Just note that the instructions are different depending on whether your machine is HE or Non-HE. In both cases, you should use hot water. For Non-HE, run a normal or heavy cycle.
