Q: Is this product safe for pets? If the product is used on the plant or in soil and the animal ingests the soil, is it safe for the animal (dog or cat)?
A: Hi, Thanks for reaching out! All our products are safe for pets. If the pet ingests the liquid concentrate directly, we recommend consulting a veterinarian and we can provide you with a safety data sheet. If the pet ingests the plant food in our soil and the plant food has been diluted according to the instructions, your pet should be safe. However, if the plant food is used in another soil, we can say the plant-based plant food is safe, but we cannot know for sure without knowing the composition of the ingested soil from other brands. Hope this helps.

Q: The bottle says 3 caps full per gallon and makes up to 60 gallons - its only 30 gallons after I measured - ? ??
A: Thanks so much for reaching out! Our Good Dirt Plant Food can be used for indoor and outdoor gardening. When used indoors, it is one capful per gallon (60 gallons). When used outdoors, we recommend three capfuls per gallon as a higher concentration to diminish further dilution by weather elements. Hence, outdoors, it would indeed be about 20 gallons. We use the maximum of UP to 60 gallons when used indoors. I hope that clarifies your question! Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Q: Can this be used on the following plants? And how much of this should I be feeding each one? Petunias Minute man hosta Pothos Hibiscus Bougainvillea
A: Hi Sarah! Great question! Yes, the Good Dirt plant food is seed-based and contains all the nutrients in a seed and therefore, all the nutrients any plant needs to thrive. It is gentle and effective. If you are watering outdoors, use 3 capfuls in a gallon of water. For indoors, use 1 capful per gallon of water. Our concentrated food goes a long way. Our 15 oz bottle makes up to 60 gallons of food for your plants. It is NOT salt-based like commercial fertilizers, so no need to worry about root burn. It blends easily with the water, and no need for measuring utensils other than the bottle cap itself. Happy Spring!

Q: This product leaked onto my paver driveway and caused a white stain that I can not seem to remove. Can you give me a suggestionas to how I can remove the stain?
A: Thank you for reaching out. Although our plant food is low in salts, the pH is 5.0. If it was not washed off quickly, it is likely an acidic etch. Pressure washing the paver or using muriatic acid may resolve the issue. We recommend always having a saucer under pots that are on concrete or wood to avoid damage. Please let us know if we can be of further help.
