Good mount, bad anchor design
First off, the mount itself is a strong, well-built unit, and works for our 85" Samsung very well. I'm only giving it 3 stars because of the actual mounting design. Given that this bracket would almost always be mounted on an =interior= wall, the hole spacing for mounting is too narrow for the standard 24" on-center stud pattern used for =interior= walls. If we tried mounting across 2 studs, barely, there was not enough side-to-side play to get the TV to center on the wall as we wanted. We ended up having to cut out a strip of dry wall 8" x 50", add 2 backer boards between the studs and put the strip of drywall back. So, now, I have a bunch of open cuts in my drywall that I have to fill and paint. Had the mounting plate been 6-10" wider, we could have avoided this. Using the provided hollow wall anchors would have been a joke. We tried using some toggle bolts, but even with an 80 lb TV on a 100+ lb capacity mount, we feared that the lag bolts would have pulled out of the 1 stud

Nice bracket for the price. However, the hardware kit did not have the proper length bolts for my Samsung TV. Had to cut the bolts. Also, there is no locking mechanism to keep the TV from sliding side to side on the bar. The instruction manual is lacking.

Quadruple check you drilled your lag bolts level because it is impossible to adjust the tilt on this wall mount, before or after you put the mount on your wall. The tilt is secured by four bolts, but a 3/8" socket is too small, and a 7/16 socket is too big, so there's no way to loosen these bolts to adjust the tilt. I had to put some foam under one of the arms to level the TV, which is obviously not ideal for a wall mount which advertises +/- 5 degrees of tilt but doesn't tilt at all.

Best Mount with Great Pricing
the most sturdiest tv mount for a 98inch tv that I have came across. Shipping package was damage, however that is no fault of the company. Highly recommended. The prices are just right as well. Best Buy wanted $180 for a mount for the size of tv that I needed, not to mention that that it was not a full motion mount. Will do business again.

Great Product
Took a little bit of time and patience to figure out the best way to do the installation for my particular set-up, but once I determined the process, worked out perfectly. Sturdy and smooth motion for a heavy TV. All the hardware needed for customizing the mounting to the wall. Another example of a great Monoprice product at a price that can't be beat. I could have paid three times plus or more and the product would not be any better.

Quality mount, looks clean! Sticks off the wall too far for my personal preference and the mounting bracket for the wall is not wide enough to span 3 studs 16" on center, this limits how you can mount it if a smaller tv needs to be centered on a stud as you can only catch one stud in this situation.

I really like the mount. It?s sturdy and allows you to manipulate the mount however you need due to it being full motion. I ran my cables through a wall plate in the drywal to avoid having bulky cables behind the tv.

Due to the alignment of my studs, I can't push it all the way back and still have it centered, which is less than ideal, but it still looks good. Just not flush with the wall by any stretch because of the combo of stud alignment and folding of the mount to get it close to the wall. If someone has a way to do it that I'm not thinking of, I'm all ears! Also, it's somewhat hard to get it level. It's nice that it has the built in swivel to dial in a little bit more, but I can't see any way to lock it in to that setting once you get it level. It just moves freely

I had originally purchased Monoprice wall mount item #5920 because it was supposed to be capable of holding a 200# pound TV. It could not, however, properly support my 97pound TV. I do, however, recommend the Monoprice wall mount item number 12280, because it easily holds my TV in a vertical position, and if you place a 1/4" thick paint stick from Home Depot between the wall and the bottom edge of the TV mount, a 97 pound TV will come straight out from the wall without sagging downward. That is important to me because I have a cabinet 1/4" below the TV that I don't want to get scratched when I move the TV to change wires.

This TV mount is large!! It is holding up our 65" Qled tv without a problem,. It is nice to be able to pull it out from the wall and push it back, but it is quite stiff early on. Hopefully it will get easier to move the tv around as it wears.
