Insane amount of lint.
Excited for 100% cotton blankets at a great price but the $$ u save vs Pottery Barn or others might go to the plumber or fire department not to mention the time you'll need to clean out your washer and dryer. Sadly what a mess. Ordered 4 of these, returned three after washing the first caused so much lint it could have clogged my washer and started a dryer fire. Didn't want to risk it with three more so back they went. Great blanket otherwise but feel like that much shedding should be a part of the manufacturing finishing process.

Perfect transitional blanket
I chose this blanket because it’s 100% cotton and is a nice look than the usual waffle weave. It also seemed like it won’t snag the way the basket weave cotton blankets do. Washed up nicely and didn’t freak out my washer even fully wet the way some cotton blankets do because they get so heavy. But be prepared to empty your lint trap. Looks like half the blanket wound up in there.

Terrible cotton
This blanket disintegrates when washed. I always wash everything before first use. Gobs of cotton came off in the wash. I’m afraid it may plug up the drain. In the dryer I got two huge handfuls of cotton in the lint trap. Needless to say I won’t be buying any more Eddie Bauer products, especially their blankets.

Holy shedding, Batman

Poor quality, too small
Ordered this in white in a King. It is not a true white but a cream color. Very thin and shed a lot of lint first time washing. Not soft. Blanket is about 12 inches too short and does not fully cover mattress, hangs about 4 inches above bottom of mattress on each side.

I love the heaviness of the blanket. I don’t like all the lint (as previous reviewers stated) while drying this blanket you will need to empty the lint tray a couple of times. I am hoping next wash will be way better. The color is nice.

Great blanket
I really like this light weight cotton blanket either as an extra layer in the Winter or on its own with just a top sheet in the Spring/Summer. I have had it almost a year and although the lint after the dry cycle was quite a bit, it has lessened with every wash.

Just get another blanket
I got this in 2018 and it is the most frustrating blanket to wash. I had a newer top load and it always got too heavy that it would rock the entire thing back and forth. Recently I got a front load washer and it does the same thing EVERY time. I get an error and it stops washing because it is too heavy. If you plan to never wash it, it’s a good blanket. Does it’s job. I used it to put on top of my bed for my dog and it unthreaded easily but it was fine. However, I wouldn’t recommend.
