Bring tasty flavor to your side dishes when you prepare these Frozen Sweet Peas from Good & Gather™. These delicious peas are perfect for enjoying as a side with a savory pot roast, grilled chicken or pan-seared salmon, or use them to add texture to stews, soups or salads. Green peas are an excellent source of vitamin C to help contribute to a well-rounded meal. Enjoy them as is, or add herbs and spices for a more complex side dish everyone will love.
Directions
Needs to be fully cooked. Keep frozen until ready to prepare.
For food safety, cook to 165°F until hot throughout. Appliances may vary; adjust cooking time accordingly.
Refrigerate or discard leftovers immediately.
Microwave
1. Pour peas into microwave-safe dish. For 4 cups peas, add 1/2 cup water; for 2 cups peas, add 1/4 cup water.
2. Cover and microwave on HIGH as directed below or until hot.**
For 4 cups: 5 minutes; stir; microwave 3 to 4 minutes longer
For 2 cups: 2 minutes; stir; microwave 2 to 3 minutes longer
3. Drain. Season to taste.
**Directions developed for 1100 watt microwave ovens. Cooking in ovens of lower watts will require additional time.

2. Bring to a full boil over HIGH heat; cover. Reduce heat to MEDIUM.

These are the best frozen peas! Both of my kids love them, and usually I don't even add salt (little one is only 16 months). They heat up well, the zipper on the bag is easy to open and close, so I just heat up what we need for a meal and throw the rest back in the freezer. Plus these are sooo affordable; they're better per ounce than what I can get at our local grocery store.
