they're smaller than you think, but they're really good
these are smaller than I thought they'd be. they're like leftovers for one person size. but the air tight seal is no joke me the seal is incredible. the glass bottoms are very substantial and heavy and I like that. the kids are plastic and can't go in the dishwasher as far as I can tell. but I'm pleased with them

Good at first, but…
I really liked these glass storage containers at first; the size and shape fit well. Worked well for my needs, and the lids were easy to secure and remove. However, some of the hard plastic lids became problematic over time; the plastic cracked and crazed and the gaskets degraded, which made the containers very susceptible to leaks. I still use mine, but their utility is much more limited now.

Need replacement lids
I love these containers but won't be purchasing again until Rubbermaid offers replacement lids The glass containers are durable and attractive. They stack nicely but once the plastic lid cracks, you're stuck with a bunch of useless glass bottoms. Rubbermaid needs to offer replacement lids to make these containers useful.

Would be great if the lid didn't crack in half...
Super useful; makes leftovers look good. I love that they are dishwasher safe, too. However, the lid for the large 8 cup rectangular container - the most useful one - broke after a few uses. The tabs for prying the lid to open the container are on the ends, so naturally the lid flexes when pried open. The problem is, that the long lid can't take the torque and cracks at the point where the clasps are. Maybe if the lid was thicker, or if the pry tabs were in the middle of the long side, these would hold up. Anyway, the container goes in the recycle bin for now.

The lids are difficult
II really want to like these containers, but the lids are very difficult to remove, and one has already cracked. The seal between the container and lid is nice, but when removing the lid it's very easy to accidentally push down on the latch and re-lock it. I don't think that I would purchase these again.

Great gift for family!
Our daughter in law wanted to switch from plastic to glassware. We got these for her for Christmas and she loves them. She uses them to store leftovers and to pack in lunches. She says the locks are easy to handle.

I used to use plastic Tupperware and got sick of it flexing and not wanting to snap properly. On top of that, just dealing with potential stains and having to see that is not ideal for me. I made the switch to glass and WOW. It is the best decision and purchase! For what you pay you know it will last WAY longer than plastic! 10/10

Replacement lids not sold separately!
I love using the glass containers, but the lid on the large rectangle has cracked and I cannot get a replacement lid. Why are replacement lids not sold? Now I just have a glass dish and will be using saran wrap.

Need 2-cup size available apart from sets!
Omg. What a wonderful set. Seals wonderfully. Easy to clean. Stacks neatly. The only downside is that I can’t buy a set of the 2-cup size only… this is our favorite size and the one that everyone wants to use for lunch. Please sell the food 2-cups separately just like all the other sizes.

We've been using these Rubbermaid Brilliance for about two years, and love them! They are great for freezer and fridge food storage. The one complaint are the lids - out of the 10 containers we bought all at the same time, four of the lids have developed cracks. I thought, no problem, we'll get some replacement lids. But, as many of you may have found out, replacement lids for Brilliance Glass Food Storage Containers are not available.

A few years ago we decided to replace all of our old plastic containers with nice glass ones for longevity, the glass is great. But now have a dozen glass containers and a couple broken lids left.. and you cant buy replacement lids. Why?

Like them, but lids break & aren't sold separately
In 2023, I replaced all of my food storage with these containers. For food in the fridge or freezer, it was glass bottoms with Tritan tops. For the pantry, those sizes and shapes are only available in Tritan. For the first year, things were great. The lids sealed properly, the glass held up to freezer and oven, and both the lids and the glass bottoms survived trips through the microwave and dishwasher. Then, I got my first crack...the lid for one of my big containers, the big 8 cup one, developed a hairline starburst from the center outward, while storing a casserole in the freezer. Nothing strange was stored above it, and the food was cool before I put the lid on, so I'm not sure what the problem was. Not happy, but I let it go, since only one lid was broken. Now, I have a total of 3 lids broken. Two for the 8 cup big containers, and one for a 4 cup container. With Rubbermaid not selling replacement lids, I now have 3 glass bottoms without lids, and need to acquire replacement food storage containers for those three items. With only 3 damaged lids, I don't think this is a knowlesge or technique problem on my end. Granted, we are only talking about three damaged lids over about three years; however, what I expected from the glass set was that I would be able to use them for many years to come, not have to replace entire container + lid items due to the lids breaking. Lids break. It happens. Just allow us to buy replacement lids, without having to buy an entire extra container!

No replacement lids which crack easily
The glass container is great but the lids crack easily due to the excellent airtight lid sea and now I see I can't replace the lids. Ugh! Then why buy something that will break and unable to replace leaving the container unusable or just a regular glass rectangle dish with saranwrap. poor design or poor on Rubbermaid for not making replacement lids. So many would buy the replacement lids for these glass storage containers

Disappointing durability of lids. Cannot replace.
I invested in several sets of these for meal prep last year. The glass containers are still in perfect condition but the lids have started to crack and one has the gray latch broken off. It is extremely disappointing that you cannot buy replacement lids. I chose glass to be more sustainable and last longer, but now what do I do with a container with no lid? Will not recommend this product unless lids can be replaced in the future.

Lids crack/break and NO OPTION TO REPLACE
We bought a few sets of these to replace the plastic ones we had been using for years. We loved these, at first. Several of the lids have cracked, definitely to to kids and MIL’s not know how to open them. I figured I would just buy replacement lids. NOPE. They don’t sell them, I can’t even find 3rd party versions. What a huge disappointment and a huge miss on the part of Rubbermaid. Once my kids are all cracked, I will buy a different brand.
