The Ember mug is a popular choice among guests for its ability to keep beverages at the perfect temperature, enhancing the drinking experience. Many appreciate its sleek design and the convenience of controlling temperature via an app. However, concerns about the durability of the charging mechanism and the difficulty in cleaning the mug have been noted. Overall, it offers a unique solution for those who enjoy hot drinks without the hassle of reheating.

Not Worth Your Money!
NOT WORTH IT! If i could give zero stars i would. Extremely disappointed. After 3 days of use, the mug began to heat up my coffee way past my set temperatures - literally burning my tongue. Then it stopped connecting to Bluetooth. Then It took a week to get a replacement mug from Ember. Then after a week of using the replacement mug, it began to have charging issues. I am extremely disappointed with this product.

Mug review
Save your money. I love my coffee hot and after reading reviews and product descriptions thought this was what I would like. It keeps one cup warm for about 30 minutes then done. I thought I would have at least a couple hours of a hot beverage. The mug has to go back on the charger to keep beverage hot, charge depletes rather quickly. After being on the charger all night, this morning the mug was 5% charged. If you have to keep the mug on the charger it would make sense to just buy a product that is a mug warmer where you must keep mug on the warmer and not worry about recharging. A return is not possible. Web site says there is a 30 day window for returns. I got this as a Christmas gift. My husband bought the mug before Christmas, once I started using it the 30 days was almost up. Took a few more days of using the mug to discover it doesn’t work as described. Back to regular reheating my coffee in the microwave. Great idea, wish it worked.

Perfect Gift
Gave it as a Christmas gift and she loved it. She said it was easy to learn how to use, and you can set it to a specific temperature. Definitely lives up to the hype and price. Well worth it. I ordered mine online through the Target app and it arrived safely and really well packaged.

Mug shorted / broke in a year
Purchased this in late November 2024 and my dad has been using since Christmas of 2024. Today the mug shorted out, the plastic burned around the charging rings, and it no longer works. Seems like a $90 mug should not be a safety hazard and should last longer than a year.

Inspect before you gift it or use it! Used item sold as new. I ordered the last one from the local store and picked it up. Once I got home I noticed the box didn't have a shrink wrap and the mug has dried liqued spots and was used. Ruined the gift. I would never expect this from Target of all places.

Love the mug! But honestly my only complaint is the size. Definitely go bigger if you’re going to buy one.

Pogo pins quit working.
Mug is only ok. Stains easily, ceramic coat slightly chipped even though I am careful. The worst part is the charging puck. The little pogo pins that are supposed to be slightly springy to contact the mug quit working. They have replaced it twice during the warranty due to only lasting about 4 or 5 months before they quit popping up to touch the mug. I will not buy another after this warranty is over and the quit replacing the puck free.

Planned obsolescence isn't a good business model.
This is the second ember mug I've owned. the first was a 14oz mug that lasted about a year and a half till the coating on the bottom started to peel off. This time around I purchased a 10oz mug. This one lasted a year and 8 months seemingly because I switched to wooden spoons so as not to scratch the mug. still peeled off. these mugs cost way to much to have to replace every year and a half or so. I've contacted ember and all they'll do is offer a discount on a replacement since their warranty is only for a year. Likeeise the mug has issues telling if it's got liquid in it or not and will just turn off randomly. No updates or reseting will correct this issue long term. If you must get a ember, get the travel mug. It actually stays on and the interior is stainless steel so it shouldn't peel off after a year and a half. plus you can adjust the temperature without the phone app.

Skepticle
I loved this mug at first. But after some years the ceramic coating inside started to peel. For something of this price I would have liked for the mug to last longer.

Stopped working and then no support within warranty
I bought this like 2 months ago. The Charging pin got stuck and it stopped charging. Absolutely zero customer support present. They don't respond to any email or messages you send them. Visit their reddit threads and you will see how their mugs stop working in a few months and they don't respond to any email or phone. Stay far away.
