A: Hi - this ceiling light is intended to work with a wall switch control and installs into a ceiling junction box. If you have a pull chain operated light socket in the ceiling it is not really meant for that. Thank you for the question.

A: Hi - sure, you can use a wall switch dimmer with this design. If you are planning on using LED bulbs, just make sure the the bulbs are dimmable and that the dimmer is LED compatible. Thanks for the question.

A: Hi - yes, this ceiling light should be fine to use in a bathroom, just so long as the room space is properly ventilated. Just remember that it is an indoor ceiling light, so it is not rated for outdoor damp location use. Thank you for your question!

If you are particular about the color of the metal finish, this fixture, although described as spun silver - antique silver leaf, is really more of a champagne (gold) finish. It doesn’t really match our antique silver door hardware. The fixture’s wide 18” diameter makes it particularly useful in lighting large areas. The cloth shade is very classy and it has a glass, not acrylic, prism. Currently we are using only 2 of the 3 2700K LED bulbs with dimmers and it puts out LOTS of light in our 8’ x 6’ foyer with mirrored French doors. A very classy, modern upgrade to our entrance.

I am giving only 2 stars because the metal is NOT silver! It is a brass or gold looking metal, defiantly not silver as the name implies. I don't see it comes in other finishes for it to get mixed up. I have attached a picture. I am not sure how no other reviews mention this? Or I just got a bad lamp? I am so dissapointed!
