Q: Your Prop 65 warming says it has formaldehyde- DOES IT HAVE OFF GAS? Does it SMELL?

A: Hello, Thank you for your interest in our RiverRidge® Home products. The State of California requires this warning label on all products containing MDF material. However, the mill that produces the MDF material for this item has been certified by a 3rd party testing company as compliant with California 93120 Phase 2 and Title VI of the Toxic Substances Control Act formaldehyde regulations. Please be assured that we have taken all required steps to ensure this and other RiverRidge® Home products are safe for use in any room in your home. We recommend either wiping down the entire product with a damp cloth a few times, or if you have a garage to place the item in, place it in there for a couple days to air out. Either of these methods should remedy the smell you are experiencing. Please feel free to contact us with any additional questions you may have about our RiverRidge® Home products. Thank you!
