This sketchbook is a fantastic choice for young artists and casual creators alike, offering a durable hardcover and thick, high-quality paper that supports various mediums. The perforated pages allow for easy removal of artwork, making it perfect for displaying creations. Guests appreciate its affordability and the fun design, making it a go-to option for art classes and creative projects. However, some concerns about the binding and paper bleed-through with certain mediums have been noted.

Good value for preschoolers who fly through paper
Great sketchbooks and better quality than the drawing pads. We usually pick one up when they’re on sale. Works well with markers, crayons, and pencils but the paper will wrinkle a little with paint as expected. Bright white and good thickness.

Great sketch book for the price
The cover is fun and the pages are heavy enough for sketch work. It is perfect for my daughter’s art class. And the pages don’t fall out which is great but there is a perforated edge at the top if you need to remove a page. Such a good price too!

Sturdy Paper
The thickness of the paper is great for my child’s needs. I appreciate the perforated pages. Would like a variety of cover options, or an updated cover more frequently.

Works Only For Pencil Art
While Mondo Llama is usually a good name in regards to affordable arts & crafts products, this particular sketchbook does not live up to that designation. The paper works fairly well for regular pencils, mechanical pencils or drawing pencils, but fails when it comes to markers and basic watercolor paint. For paper that's supposed to support markers, there's considerable bleed through even when a single layer of marker is put down. Used a bit of plain white watercolor paint with minimal water to remove an ink line (ink used for art drawings and can be covered or removed with paint), and the paper buckled significantly. The ink pen used to outline the drawing before applying the marker colors had a tendency to bleed on the paper. IF you need just a basic sketchpad to jot down ideas or do some quick pencil sketches or more finished pencil drawings, this is a good one to buy. However, the claims it works for markers and pens are misleading, and should not be used. I like Mondo Llama products and this is the first one that's been a disappointment.

Perfect Little Drawing Book
This is a really nice quality drawing book for the price. My daughter is on her 3rd. We recently looked at other brands in Target and even at 8 years old she thought this was a much better deal than the others!

Bad design if wire binder that connects cover.
The paper is great. It’s nice and thick, but the wire binder that holds the paper and cover is a very poor design. The cover comes off of the wire holder and you are not able to put it back on based on the design. This ruins the functionality of the pad. Cannot recommend.

I draw a lot and the best thing about this notebook is that the spiral doesn’t get in the way because it’s on top

Such a great deal - a good amount of paper, heavy duty enough for strong markers and paint - we’ve bought, like, 50 over the years and they never disappoint

Great value and quality
I have bought 5 of these for 5 different kiddos. The cover is think and vibrant. The paper is good quality for limited bleed through of markers and paints.
