Stream Pump Submersible with 16' Cord Black - Alpine Corporation

This replaced the pump in my outdoor fountain that worked for 5 years and lasted 1 year. Not a satisfied customer.

We are in the process of getting barrier material in and after that we will need to aerate it so that it isn't stagnant. This little pump is the perfect size and isn't very loud. Long electrical cord is a plus.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this pump to power a waterfall for my backyard garden pond. The pump was powerful and worked well for my application. It pumped the water from the pond through a an 8 ft hose to the waterfall feature.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This Alpine Corporation Stream Pump was easy to set up. I installed it on my tall 3 tier fountain. I loved the long 16' foot cord made it easy to reach my power. The water flows beautifully down my fountain and made it very beautiful. I think it would work great on a lot of different things and would recommend it anyone.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I mistakingly thought that this pump was the size to replace my burned out pump in my chest height basic/standard garden fountain. This is far more massive than my burned out pump and is certainly designed to move a serious amount of water. Be advised, this says it can work for a fountain pump but it would be talking about a very large (wide & tall- like spa sized) fountain. I think this would be best suited for a significantly sized pond or stream. I like that it has customizable flow control and that it comes with different outlet connections to fit a variety of tubing sizes. This thing appears to be very solidly made with quality materials. Now I'm excited as my imagination is the limit on what kind of water feature I want to construct with this awesome Alpine Pump at my fingertips.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this because I was tired of the weak sprinkler system in my kids pool and I needed to amp up the power. I have to use it on the lowest setting or I risk making the fire department jealous either the distance the water goes. It will move more water than the pool has to offer. Great product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ever since we started growing vines in our garden, we’ve had trouble getting it to fill in, so we decided to use the space for a running creek and pond. This pump is rated at 550 gallons per hour which normally would be ideal for one really good size pond with waterfall, but I needed to split mine into three directions. I was a bit nervous about whether it would provide enough flow going uphill inside three one-inch hoses, but I decided to try it anyway. I used a two-way garden hose splitter and one small section of one-inch hose at the pump to divert the initial stream into two directions. My reasoning was so that I could control the pressure on each side since the hill angles were slightly different. My initial test passed, so I proceeded to step two: installing a second splitter. This time, there was no difference in height because I had two waterfalls of equal height directly across from each other, so I used a one-inch plastic two-way splitter. It worked perfectly! Both waterfalls flowed nicely. The pressure was a little low, though, so I went back to the garden hose splitter at the pump and adjusted the valves until the sides were equal. Once everything was flowing nicely, I was able to bury the power cord which was more than long enough to stretch the length of one whole side of my creek bed. Next, I surrounded the pump with large rocks to prevent debris from getting into it. So far, the occasional leaf will get stuck on the outside of the pump, but it hasn’t stopped the pump from working. I just remove debris whenever I notice it. Once, one of the hoses popped loose on one of the waterfalls and the water drained out of the water feature. When I returned home, the pump was making slurping noises because there was very little water left, but the pump wasn’t overheated and once I added water and put the hose back into place, everything returned to normal. I was afraid that the pump was damaged, but it still runs like new. Overall, this pump is very quiet, powerful, and has an extra long power cord. We may be building another pond on the other side of our property next spring. If we do, I wouldn’t hesitate to use this same model again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product works great it flows water in my fountain and keeps it from freezing during inclimate weather. It is made of high quality materials and I can tell it is going to last a very long time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This pump has a lot of power, plenty for making a stream addition to your pond set up. I appreciated the long power cord so I could set the pump up in a more desirable location than my previous pump. This pump has a lot more power than my previous pump so my only issue is trying to make the water discharge side look more natural. Should be an easy fix and I really enjoy the look the increased water flow gives the pond.
