A: It does not heat up at all. The only thing that heats up, just a little bit, is the tip but its just slightly warm. It will not cause any burns.

Begin by charging your 3Doodler Start+ to ensure the motor is able to run at full power. This will take 45 minutes to 2 hours. Do not use the 3Doodler Start+ while charging. The light will flash orange while charging, and will turn solid orange once it is fully charged. Once fully charged, your 3Doodler Start+ will run wirelessly for 45-60 minutes.

It’s so easy to use, and I love that they’re learning about creativity, design, and 3D while having fun. New and different, this pen feeds filament and 3D prints objects with your help! It’s a little hard to control, but with a little practice is super fun! Both my 11 and 13 year old enjoy using it! My son absolutely loves it, and it’s a great way for him to improve his motor skills, creativity, art, skills, and even basic scientific skills. There are so many different projects you can create with it. At first, I was a little skeptical about the safety since it uses heat. However after using it several times I feel very comfortable with it. The tool itself does not get hot, and it feels sturdy and easy to use. It’s also mess free and gives you good control while creating different designs. My husband and I are enjoying using this pen too, so it has become something that we can enjoy together. You can make all kinds of fun 3D projects and the printing sticks last through multiple projects. Overall, we really love this 3D printing pen. It is fun,creative, easy to use and great activity for the whole family.

The only downside is the filament doesn't come back out if you've used too much of it so you have to use the entire string which wastes a lot of color.

It is nicer than other brands we’ve tried because it is wireless- no cords are needed to use it so you can bring it with you on the go if you want! It only needs plugged in to charge and the battery lasts for a long time. The only negative is that it seems like a lot of the filament gets wasted. I’m not sure how to prevent that. Overall, it’s a win for my kiddos!

I enjoyed it as much as my kiddos! It’s super easy to use. You just put the stand into pen, wait a few seconds (for me it took literally 5 seconds) and your 3D printing pen is ready for use. I love that it comes with its USB cord and you can just charge it instead of buying batteries, and it comes with 72 colorful strands which will last for forever. We really enjoyed playing and crwating with this! Love it!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My kids had an absolute blast playing with this. I love the fact that it came with his own charger. It comes with plenty of filament to play with, and it’s easy to re-order. I also like the fact that the book had outlines that you could trace to help you practice and understand how to make bigger and better things my daughter love making her glasses and my son love me on the Eiffel Tower. I love the fact that I don’t have to worry about them burning themselves because the pen stays cool to the touch the battery last a decent amount of time enough for my son to build his Eiffel Tower and my daughter to make her glasses. I love all the different colors that it comes with to be able to make a wide variety of different things. This definitely can keep them busy for hours on the end, using their imagination and even practicing their writing skills.
