Costa File Cabinet Chalked Chestnut - Sauder

Good sturdy piece. Didn't like the back being in 2 separate pieces without no joining method for center.

Lateral file is perfect for our home office.

We got several pieces of this beautiful Costa collection. This piece did need a drawer front replacement and Sauder took care of it immediately...and very friendly!

I have put together several pieces of furniture, cussing over missing hardware, pilot holes not in alignment, cheap wood, confusing directions, etc. It was a pleasure to work on this project and am looking forward to doing the matching desk.

Holes in the top were about 1mm off making it very difficult to connect. Required significant banging to work. It damaged a leg.

Using for 2 weeks now in my home office. no complaints.

Was easy to assemble. Instructions were clear and concise. Much better looking than a common 4 drawer file cabinet. Looks like a piece of furniture.

The finished product looks very nice. It is great for our personal files and is a good looking piece of furniture. However it took us a day and a half to put this together. The drawers work smoothly and it is a heavy solid item. I am slightly disappointed with the hanging file hardware system It seems to be holding ok but It seems flimsy. The hanging file tracks are plastic...Our last file cabinet had heavy duty metal file rails and the hanging system that was very secure. I would recommend this product if you are able to spend some time putting this together.

Nice heavy duty lateral file. Easy to put together - directions very clear. Great finished product. I would buy products made by this company again.

Great instructions…took a few hours to put together, but directions were good and the pictures were very helpful. Fit perfectly except for right side of lower drawer tends to catch on upper drawer. Probably just a small glitch in cutting of pieces but overall love it. Nice solid piece of furniture. Looks great!

Using as a lateral file and printer stand. Finish compliments my home office decor. Assembly was easy and straight forward. Unit arrived damage free and all parts present. On sale price was fair for particle board and printed wood grain paper construction, which has gotten a whole lot better than it used to be. Should last long enough to get me by until I get around to building my own custom wood furniture.

We moved our Costa Latereral file and matching desk a couple times losing the keys after the last move. Products held up well and Alexandra from customer service quickly fixed us up with new keys.

Received damaged top. Unfortunately we didn't look at each piece close enough before we began assembling it. By the time I noticed it, we were too far in to try and return/exchange it.

This was fairly simple to put together. Just takes time. It has greatly helped my husband get his office organized. The full extension slides makes it easy to access the files even in the back. Great item!

Its beautiful! Love all the compartment in the desk! Only downfall and its a big onelol I had to hire two people to put it together because it was too hard for myself and a friend to do. Even the two guys I hired from Angies list had a tough time- They did get it done in 6 hours though and I love it- but had to spend 300. 00 to get it put together correctly. I do realize though that its heavy because its made well and solid wood??

Holds a surprisingly large number of files. Very sturdy. Very heavy. Looks great. Pieces fit together perfectly. No missing parts. Note: some instructions could be clearer.

I've bought several pieces from Sauder and have not been disappointed. Instructions are clear (a little humorous) and materials are sturdy. My last buy was a two drawer file cabinet, and I damaged one of the slides rails during install. I called Customer Service and an incredibly friendly and helpful rep got the extra parts shipped to me via Fedex in about a week. If you don't mind doing some work to construct your pieces, I highly recommend!

The instructions were detailed, correct and easy to follow. Nice job! It took me two afternoons to complete the assembly and looks great. I have no complaints. Looking forward to completing an executive desk and computer desk. Don't be afraid to tackle the assembly. It's easyo.

I am happy with How sturdy it seems. I’ve only had it a week. I am a little concerned about the screws that hold the very front board on but even if those were to strip out the front board is solid enough to Redrill
