Q: So many reviewers have a bad experience with smell. I'm looking for someone within the Roc company to agree or disagree that there is an off putting smell this way I know if it's not just a bad jar.

  • A: No, the product isn’t bad but the smell is. I can’t use it as it caused an itchy rash on my neck and I could smell it all day. The smell is identical to the neck cream from Perricone.

    Unpleasent Scent

    This lotion is marketed as non scented but has a distinct unpleasant odor. It does not dissipate until it is washed off. I haven’t seen a difference in my skin and the scent makes if difficult to use.

    Stinks!!

    Sooo..... I'm going three out of 5 Stars, just straight down the middle at the moment because I haven't used it long enough to say how well it works. But the odor! Oh my goodness!! It smells old and dusty. Kind of putrid... like rancid water after it dries. Not sour like clothes that have been in the washer too long. Just dirty. I'm going to continue to use it in the meantime because my husband is out of country working. But this is definitely not something I will use once he is home! My twin 2-year-old grandchildren told me that I was stinky when they gave me a hug. 😳😆 you know if a toddler is saying it, it's true. If you have an adversion smell I would not recommend! I'm honestly not sure that anything is worth walking around smelling like this.

    Smells bad

    I like the texture and feel of this cream. But the subtle smell is terrible and lingers. It makes me sad when I can still smell it hours after application. I would love to return it. I’m happy with all of my other RoC products.

    Great, rich moisturizer

    This particular RoC moisturizer is great. I have dry, sensitive skin & must have fragrance free moisturizers, therefore very selective. It’s very dewy, smooth & non greasy. Skin simply drinks it in. And, thankfully, it’s completely fragrance free. Simply beautiful! I only wish Target had it readily available in my local stores & equally RoC distributed it widely in my area. I should mention that I once ordered it from CVS & it did smell weird. But never happened while ordering it through Target. No issues, perfect deliveries.

    Terrible scent

    I’ve been using this product for five years and never until now understood the complaint about scent. I just opened a new jar and it smells like horrible mildew. I had to immediately wash this off as the smell was suffocating. I don’t know what changed in the formula but it’s unfortunate. I’ll need to find a new neck cream as this is not usable.

    Smells Disgusting

    I think the product itself works well because it pushed me to use it even though the smell is AWFUL. If you’ve ever smelled a mildewy towel, then you know what this product smells like. I used for less than a week and had to toss it. Bummer it was a waste of $30

    Bad smelling product

    This product seems pretty effective but it has a bad smell. I got a second tub just incase mine had gone bad and it smelled to so it must be something with the product. I'll be looking for something new.
