The formula is different
After 5 years, I will no longer be buying this product. The old formula did the job and this new one is just not doing it.. Also, it's 2026 and Origins is still testing on animals?!?

Disappointed. Nothing like me discontinued favourites
Hardly a 'scrub', more a mild cleanser. Bring back Never A Dull Moment and Modern Friction. Those WERE scrubs. Both of my discontinued favourites left my skin polished, exfoliated and clean, without drying my skin. Don't fix what isn't broken. This Ginzing cleanser pales in comparison. Totally outmatched and outclassed by NADM and MF. You have lost a loyal customer. I have been using those products for decades. Only to find it has been repalced with this weak, thin consistency, barely exfoliating cleanser, that contains plastic beads ewww. Gone is the lusciously thick, effectively exfoliating formula infused with papaya enzymes found in Never A Dull Moment. That stuff would last a whole year because a little would go a long-long way. It was of superior quality and therefore good value. I have yet to find anything quite as good for my skin as NADM or Modern Friction. I am so disappointed and underwhelmed by this Ginzing offering.

Great Cleanser for Mature Skin
I have been using this product for about a week and nothing has made an immediate impact on my skin so quickly. It looks so smooth and clear. I honestly look brighter and more youthful. I picked this up on a whim and had zero expectations. A product doesn't need to be abrasive to exfoliate your skin and a little goes a long way. I have combination/oily skin and find my skin less oily during the day.

Love the feel
This is my "go to" every time I shower. Since I am in the shower, all wet. I apply this to face, back of hands, and neck. It feels so good, like removing old skin and "dirt".... The smell is refreshing and overall, not too gritty. I have been using this product for YEARS!

My mother in law received a sample of this from the Estee Lauder company and gave it to me. I loved it and bought it! I have oily combination skin and Ive been having some bunpy texture problems too. This scrub gets everything though and it leaves my skin feels like brand new. Although I would say it is a tad too coarse for my liking, but ill still use it cause its great. I wouldn't recommend for sensitive/dry skin.

This falls very short as a replacement for modern friction. I'm a bald dude and MF was the best scrub and polish for my winter dry skin. I will look elsewhere for a product that works. Is there any chance modern friction gets revived?

Scrub is a strong word….
I was excited to try this, but I would barely call this a scrub….. to even feel any sort of scrub-like effect, you need a ton, and still it's just not quite a scrub. If you have super extra sensitive skin, this is probably great- but I can handle an actual scrub, and this was disappointing

Felt a difference right away
My skin is sensitive and dry however I still need a good facial scrub. I absolutely love this product, it leaves my skin feeling soft and supple. Highly recommend.

Broke me out!
I use other products in the Ginzing range (eye cream and serum) which I love, so thought I'd try the face scrub, but it made me break out horribly with large deep spots. Such a shame as I paid full price for a product I now can't use :(

Very disappointed with this. I normally like Origins products and tried this when Modern Friction was withdrawn. It is rather thick so only need the tiniest amount which builds up a lot of lather. Consequently the amount of friction particles very small and I can barely feel them on my skin. I wonder how it can even be called a Scrub Cleanser. Modern Friction it is not!

Blah - not quite a scrub
Used it previously (maybe sample size or part of a gift set) and loved it. The 2 tubes i bought last year and finally got around to using it (stored in cool place always). Found it not exfoliating at all. The scrubbing beads were far and few and it just felt "slippery". Have ti use in conjunction with a facial washing cloth/Clarisonic brush. Sad that Modern Friction has been discontinued, and also Perfect World Toner! I usually stock up when there is a good sale and just only realize many fav oldies are gone!
