National Geographic Sensory Science

My kids dove right into this and had a blast. A variety of textures and options to play with. Comes with containers for all stuff to keep it soft and useable. Ages 8,11 and 13 and all had a blast with it.

This was great for a group science experiment but be warned: there was not enough for each child to complete their own if you have multiples. We were able to supplement some of the kinetic sand and there are recipes included which helps a ton! It is very intuitive and ready to go out of the box which is great but plan to make more using the recipes provided as this was fun! Overall we had a great day with this and would purchase another kit again.

I was very excited about this and gave it to my children right away. They really loved the natural plays and and the hydrophobic sand. However, the slime was a mess! It stuck to everything. Fortunately, it came off the table with some soapy water.

A fun twist on a science kit! It’s has different slime, putty and sands which are always the hit for my daughters. This is a perfect activity for them to do when they’re bored this summer! Although they were begging the use the day we got it!

This is a great kit for a rainy day. One of the favorite items of my kiddo from the kit is the hydrophobic sand. The color changing putty did not change colors, hence the 4 stars. There is a lot to do with this kit and it’s a great value!

I got this for my two toddler girls since they loved playing with kinetic sand. The slime was super liquified and made a mess. Besides that they loved playing with the sand in the kit and they really enjoyed the putty.

My son loves this sensory science kit! It has 3 different kinds of slime, two were water slimes of slightly different textures, one was a little thicker and the other was a little thicker, and a regular firm slime, it also had some play sand and sand molds we loved experimenting with!

I just love these kits! Multiple activities and experiments in every box for hours of entertainment and learning! Each experiment takes about maybe 30 minutes or so on average in our experience. My daughter is 10 and has been doing these kits for the last few years. Now she can pretty much do them without me but I still help as it’s fun for me to learn too. Make sure you read the booklet a long with your child. It’s not just instructions it’s actually information about how and why each experiment works but put in a fun kid friendly way of describing things and of course the pictures are awesome too. This particular kit had a color changing play doh/ clay experiment which was very simple and fast to do but ended up not quite color changing as much as my daughter had hoped but the others in the box where all a great time. I hope National Geographic continues to come out with new kits! Great to fill kids boredom during summer break!

My kids love slime and unfortunately for me they loved this kit. Comes with a variety of different slime with activities to show differences. Like that it has its own reusable container / tray and comes with some forming shapes.

My kids have been having so much fun with this science set. It comes with everything pictured, including a plastic tub to keep from making a mess. My kids especially liked the hydrophobic sand. That was really cool to see!

I received this product via the Hey, Bullseye program in exchange for my honest review. This kit was very enjoyed by my 5yo kinetic sand loving kiddo. He first chose to play with the slime, which was quite slimey. He enjoyed mixing the colors together and got it everywhere. A bit of dishsoap and some elbow grease later and that mess was quickly managed. Next, he moved on to the hydrophobic sand. He had a great time dunking it in a small bowl of water and observing it coming out dry. He enjoyed showing it to me and his brother. The tiny sand castle molds were a good size for both the kit and for him to handle. Nixed one star because who likes to scrub slime? Not me. All in all, a great little kit and kept him engaged for ~ an hour.

This sensory kit is really cool! The only thing is the slime we didn’t like too much it was really sticky and not much like slime but the other items was pretty cool! Especially the powder sand in the water that comes ours dry and the regular sand hours of plat!

Five different activities to keep kids occupied. Great concept, but this one falls short of being great. My sons liked the kinetic sand with the tiny molds, it just had a very strong smell of plastic. The blue slime was so sticky that it couldn't be played with. The pink slime is the typical slime, but with a strong smell. The color changing putt was great, it just didn't change color. The hydrophobic sand was probably the coolest thing in the box and my kids favorite thing.

My kids loved this and used it for ages. Easy to follow directions and projects included in the box, and didn’t make a huge mess which was a bonus. The colors of the projects were fun to look at, and didn’t seem to stain anything

The National Geographic Sensory Science Activity Kit is a fun and engaging set that has a variety of items that both my kids enjoyed. It includes slime, putty, hydrophobic sand, and molds for creative play, and even has a tray which was nice to contain the sand. The materials are hands-on and entertaining, making it a good choice for sensory play and early exposure to STEM learning. We got plenty of play time with this set and will be using the kit regularly.

This will definitely keep The kids busy. Only issue is…… it’s super messy. One of the slimes in there is like a sticky snot. Had the worst time trying to get it out of clothing and the table. The sand was great!! Definitely the favorite in there. Sadly the thermal clay wasn’t very reactive (even in the freezer for the recommended time). Get this for an outside play. Not inside lol

Both of my daughters loved this sensory science kit, especially my seven year old. The “experiments” are quick and easy. The kit comes with numerous activities, the accessories for the kinetic sand are cute.

We have had these kits previously and I think they’re more “jumping off points” than an entire experience. This kit seemed to promise several sensory experiences but most were in the form of recipes. The containers of sand or slime are kind of small and the slime that we made was a disaster for quite a while until we added tons more activator. We’ve made slimes before so this was another opportunity but it fell kind of flat.

This is such a fun activity for both a child and adult. I enjoyed the time we spent together with so many options for the sensory science kit. There were a lot of fun options and the instructions were easy.

My daughter is on the spectrum and most the time science related kits don't spark her interest. That is not the case with this sensory science kit. She has really enjoyed all the materials in it. I will say the slime is extra sticky though and we had to use soap and water to get it off our hands. Otherwise the kit was great. We should've used it at a table rather than on the floor to help with the mess.
