The day we assembled and placed the bench outside it sprinkled rain for about 20 minutes. Later that same day we noticed rust on the back of the seat and around the fasteners. We sanded the areas down and painted. The bench looks good and is comfortable however we will have to watch closely for the possibility of more rust bleed through.

I love it my husband put some kind of spray paint on it to keep nice while out in the elements. It has been on patio we are almost in the Summer and still looking good. Don't know if it would be if husband did not spray paint it.
