A: If you look at each arm, it's at the end of one. The switch is closest to where the arm sits in the pocket of the umbrella material. The picture of the umbrella is WRONG! It shows the switch being near the crank. I almost returned this umbrella for the lack of information (no instructions in the box) and the unhelpful answers here in it's Q&A.

A: The "ribs" are what I'd call arms. The metal rods that extend and sit in the little pockets of the umbrella.

The first bit of wind broke the tilt feature. That was within the first 1-2 weeks. Yesterday, at 3 months, it broke completely. So now it's trash. I bought it on sale - and it was still to much for having it only last 3 months.

This umbrella was the perfect addition to our backyard! I want to specify that it doesn’t come with a base but it fits in any standard sized base! The LED lights are good but they’re not gonna brighten up the space however they’ve help up after 2 months which is fantastic. Overall totally worth the price! We currently have it by our couch set but we also had it in a table while we waited for a base to arrive and it worked there really nicely too - contemplating getting a second one!

This umbrella will not even stand up without me holding it. It is extremely top heavy and flimsy. Perhaps they intended it to be bolted into the ground for support but the directions say nothing about that. I will be returning immediately

Loved this umbrella and for the price I guess it wasn’t bad, but now in the second summer we’ve had it, and the color is horribly faded and the lights barely work for 5 minutes after turning them on. We stored it for the winter and have taken good care of it. It was nice for one season but I wouldn’t expect much more than that out of it.

Lights stopped working in less than 2 months. The solar panel gets plenty of sun. The switch just doesn't do anything anymore. I should have just saved the $10 and bought the umbrella without the lights. They were nice when they worked. But we only sat under them 1 time.
