Smells toxic
This occasionally has a toxic paint like smell while fire is burning inside. The fire we lit was small, but we’d get occasional whiffs of what smelled like burning paint. It just read that it has a heat resisitant finish. Maybe it’s something in that. I’d like if someone can email me the ingredients used in the finish to see if I’m exposing my kids to toxins. I just read that I’m past the return window, which is such a bummer! Such a short return window of 30 days. We just used it last night.

Bonfire Surround
Purchased to use as a surround for the Solo Stove Bonfire. At less than half the cost of the official surround it does a good job. Even the included screen fits well although the paint on the screen burns off easily. Installation is a bit tedious but straightforward.

Solo bon fire
Love this pit. We got it to protect or kids and dogs from touching the bonfire solo stove we have. We put it together easily and left the bowl out so the bonfire would fit.

Small and really tough to assemble
So, it's a bit janky. Not that I'm that surprised on that. I mean our Asian friends don't exactly produce quality items (but we'll keep buying because they're cheap...and so are we apparently :^) That said, the engineering on this unit kind of sux. You must install about twenty hex head cap screws to put all the pieces together. And it's really tough to do because you can only get between a quarter to half turn out of the Allen wrench they give you because of the screw placement on the round parts. It's a thin metal too. Lastly, the bowl that holds the firewood is only about 21". The overall measurement is 32"

You get what you pay for
This is a cheap firepit. Assembly is frustrating as none of the pieces are bent to fit and the super short bolts are hard to access. Do yourself a favor and grab a rachet rather than the Allen key provided. The grates float around in the firebowl, and there's no drainage hole. If you need a cheap firepit, this one is for you.

works great as a surround for a SoloStove Bonfire
Admittedly, I didn't buy this as a firepit itself, but rather as a surround for a Solo Stove Bonfire unit, to keep the dog and kids away from the very hot sides of that product. Assembly was a bit challenging because i couldn't easily use a power driver due to the physical space limitations where the screws are positioned, but once assembled it was sturdy enough for my needs.
