Poor Quality of Product and Even Poorer Customer Service
Defective within weeks, no refund honored! This Target string bag fell apart in under a month. The tear happened right where the drawstring connects to the top, which is a major structural point. I used it normally—no overloading, no rough handling—yet it still failed. What’s worse is the return experience. I started the return within Target’s 1-month policy, but the process took about 10 days just for the item to arrive. Because of that delay—something I had no control over—I was denied a refund, even though the product was clearly defective and the return was initiated on time. To make matters worse, the customer service representative, Vicki, showed absolutely no understanding, sympathy, or concern, and just kept coldly repeating, ‘This is our return policy.’ She clearly did not care about the impact her behavior could have on Target’s image. It’s disappointing that someone so cold-hearted is part of Target’s customer service team while showing no real customer service at all. This feels like a case of poor product quality paired with inflexible customer service. If a bag can’t last a few weeks and the return policy doesn’t account for shipping delays, that’s a problem. I wouldn’t recommend this item to anyone looking for durability or fair support.
