Q: If I didn't want to install all the shelves (to accommodate taller items) would the unit still be stable? I'm thinking I'd leave off the top shelf and the second to bottom shelf...

A: If you eliminate just two shelves, it will still be very stable.

Flimsy metal construction
Flimsy metal that didn’t hold up to even one use. On first use, the square tube bent causing the nut to fall out so the wheel wouldn’t stay connected. Everything on the cart fell to the floor. Not worth the $35 price tag.

At best described poorly with poor quality materials. At worst intentionally deceptive. The shelves are NOT 8" in width. They are 6 1/2. If you measure the outside supports too sure you could call it 8" but even then its 7 3/4ths.

Shelves aren't as wide as I thought. Definitely a "little cart". Not worth the hassle of sending it back.
