Summer Sausage
I get the craving for summer sausage every once in a while. I've tried other brands none have met my expectations. I call it green where as like my parents used to hang it in our basement to cure. Yours is ready to eat right right from the store. no need to cure. no need to wait and find out you forgot about it and it gets too dried out ant needs to be wasted. I wish other companies would learn from you. but then again that would turn into competetiion . Thank You i

Very, Very Good
I've had a lot of different brands of summer sausage over the years, and this one is one of the best. The taste is a good balance of meat and spices with that slightly fermented note that's peculiar to good summer sausage. And if you don't believe me, ask my dogs, they love it too.

Great taste
i bought the 12oz original summer sausage. its taste was great as usual. However, it made a mess trying to get the skin? off. The outside stuck to the sausage and it was like trying to open a car door covered in vasoline. A greasy mess. for your investagation if you decide to check it out is 7778200011.

Taste is like licking a salt block.
Bought it for the holiday and my God is it salty. I looked at the ingredients and not only does it have salt it uses Sodium Nitrate to lock in color and preserve freshness, it also uses Sodium Erythorbate to do the same thing but this is primarily used to speedup curing process. I'm thinking it's time to look for a different product. PS I also stopped buying Johnsonville sausages and brats because the salt is terrible.

Lard sausage
We buy only Johsonville summer sausage , but (the last two) bought were like this and left a lard coating in your mouth… yuck …will take awhile before buying again.

Favorite Summer Sausage
I LOVE this sausage. I slice it with cheddar cheese and put both on triscuits. Add popcorn and red grapes and it is my favorite meal!

My husband's favorite
My husband used to write "Summer Sausage" on the shopping list, but after I grabbed other brands he's very clear that Johnsonville Original is the only way to go! :) He has a couple of slices for an afternoon snack almost every day.
