Q: How long does a 1 oz bottle last?

submitted by Melissa - 2 months ago
  • A: This is a 2oz bottle which some users report that a bottle can last around 6-9 months if applying just a few drops daily. Since the recommended usage is a few drops once daily, it should last awhile.

submitted byGeorgia - 2 months ago

Q: Do you rinse it out in the shower?

submitted by Anna - 5 months ago
  • A: No, it is a leave-in treatment. It should be applied to a clean, dry scalp at night and left on to absorb. Some users report that it may feel greasy at first but it is absorbed by the morning.

submitted byGeorgia - 2 months ago

Q: Is it oily or more watery? Is it suitable for oily hair?

submitted by Jess - 2 years ago
  • A: It's just like water. Not sure about the oily hair suitability.

So I have bad juniper allergies which I didnt think would transfer to this product since it has larch trees but after four nights of use i noticed the same allergy symptoms i would have with my juniper allergies would be triggered by this product. I didn't want to score it lower because of my inability to use it to ding it too bad. If I am able to update at a later time I will once i find a friend who is able to use it instead so it doesn't get wasted.

Had a ton of fall out due to post partum hair loss and was looking for an affordable hair growth serum. First photo was taken June 4th and the second was taken June 27th. Bottle says to use it every day but I'm probably closer to using it every other day (non wash days). I put it on at night and massage it in/brush it up through my hair. My hair doesn't get too overly greasy but if it did, I just do dry shampoo and it's totally fine - I wash my hair every other day. I will repurchase!

With continued use fine, graying hair will become stronger and thicker. I have used this product for 18 months. I wash my hair 1-2 times a week. I have fine hair but lots of strands. My hair is hip length or very long. I Don't over work my hair combing or brushing. I use a bamboo comb for silky and static free hair and a wet brush when brushing and a large tooth comb after washing. I use heat less curls but do use the Dyson hair dryer to dry to damp. I say this because fine hair can't be overworked and this product I use faithfully every night and put my hair always in a silk bonnet. I swear by this routine/. I am constantly at the age of 61 getting beautiful hair comments. I am growing my gray out and have light blond hair. I use this on my eyebrows too! Post menopause can be cruel sometimes. It helps to also be 5'10", I think. lol! I would recommend this to anyone and do routinely tell anyone who asks how I take care of my hair. I do have a salt water pool but limit my hair getting wet and rinse immediately and I don't dry my hair out with ocean water due to length. I'm in the pool daily and when I swim I rinse and apply conditioner and stick to my washing routine. You have to figure out what works for you but I love this product and the price is very affordable.

Experienced significant hair loss after first use

I have been using Ordinary skincare products for years. I have always loved the ingredient list and how well it works for my skin. I did a decent chop on my hair this past year and decided that I wanted to start growing it back out. Though my hair is healthy, I thought I would give this hair product a try to speed up the growth process. BIG MISTAKE! I tested it earlier in the day on the base of my scalp. After having no reaction, I applied multiple drops all over my scalp before bed and massaged in. I awoke the next morning and showered. I immediately noticed an excessive amount of fall out during the shower processed. The hair that was falling out was stretchy in texture which I've never experienced before. I shampooed my hair with my usual Biolage shampoo and then decided to follow it with a clarifying shampoo before conditioning. The fallout continued and continued during the wash process. I am not one to write reviews but after a few hours post shower, I feel inclined due to the continuous hair fallout. Being upset is an understatement. I take pride in how healthy my hair is and wish that I never branched out to try this product. I'm not sure what my next step should be to get my hair back on the right path. I'm at a loss.

I started infusion treatments and before too long I had lost almost 1/3 of my hair. So many remedies are very expensive and take months to see results. This was recommended by my salon and let me say it's AMAZING. Showed signs of regrowth in 5 weeks!

I tried this once and really did not like it. Left my scalp and hair very oily and greasy looking. Did not absorb at all. Has a bit of a chemical smell too. I will not continue to use this. Don't know if it works because I'm returning it, I did not like the heavy weighed down roots because of this.

Ive been waiting on Beyonce to restock the drops so I hsed this as a replacement. I used it right after washing my knotless braids. 2 days later my scalp was itching and I didnt understand why. Out of all the products I used to set and lay my hair nothing made sense. After researching the ingredients a little more 2 of the ingredients flagged as not being good. 1 is an allergen and causes itchyness. Also dried out my hair line. May work for you may not for someone else.

I have some thinning around my hairline from wearing low ponytails and my hair is chemically treated. I've been using these drops for 2.5 weeks and my roots are much thicker than before. I'm looking forward to my hair growing out. I will definitely continue to use these daily for the foreseeable future.

Have been using 2 x day for 6 weeks and I am seeing growth. I'm also taking supplements, so I'm not sure if it is a combination of the 2. I will continue to use for a quarter. I'm encouraged by the results thus far.

Bondi Boost Better

I LOVE The Ordinary skin care line, but I was not blown away with this product. Granted, I did not use it religiously, so if used regularly and as directed it may give you better results. I ended up switching to Bondi Boost for all my hair care treatments and feel like I've gotten better results from that brand.

It works to promote hair growth

My hair started thinning very rapidly when I hit age 61 (I'm 63 now) (genetic, my mothers hair is very thin when she got older). I have tried a couple topical hair treatments (can't afford the pricey nutrafol). They work but are pretty expensive. This has most of the same ingredients as one of them. Since I started using it my hair on my scalp has grown and is thicker. People have commented that they notice the difference. I put a small amount on my scalp every night, mostly on top where it's thin and rub it in. If you use too much it will make hair greasy. This is a good affordable alternative for hair density.

I have seen hair density serums but have been skeptical. The price was very reasonable and gave it a try. I had some damage to my hair and wanted a fuller hair line. I was also concerned about excessive hair fall in the shower. I am blown away in the hair growth and how much thicker my new growth is. I have been using 3-5 times per week. I see very small amounts of hair fall now in the shower. I also started using on my daughter's edges from wearing braids. I have also caught my husband using it as well around his temples. While it is not instant, I saw a difference when I finished the bottle. I will be keeping this in rotation.

I see a lot of reviews saying it takes time (and it definitely does) but I feel like I started seeing results VERY fast. For reference I started using this in january and as of march I have seen so much hair growth. Sometimes the growth will be wispy little hairs, and other times I find little tufts of hair like the one in the picture. I will definitely be repurchasing this!

I have super fine hair. I recently noticed my part appeared to be getting wider & that you could see my scalp around the part. I've used almost a whole 1oz bottle & while I don't see a difference around the part yet, I have seen an influx of baby hairs

I started using this product 2 years ago and I can say for certain that my hairline in the front is so much thicker. It didn't happen overnight, but I now have new locks of hair where I didn't before. My hair had thinned from years of hard water exposure and from being pulled back into a bun, but this product has helped so much. I also have an oily scalp and this serum does not make me greasy. For best results I would apply onto your wet scalp after a wash, then either air dry or blow dry your hair and the serum will work its magic.

When I went into the salon this week my stylisr remarked about the amount of roots i had and felt it was much more growth than when I usually come in. I have not noticed an increase in thickness - just maybe a bit faster growth
