Campbell's Chunky Spicy Chicken & Sausage Gumbo - 18.8oz

Love the flavor it’s a great flavor. Side of the texture is gray in the favorite profile is also amazing if you get it and try it, you would not regret it. It’s like a Louisiana gumbo.

It's perfect for colds but needs more rice, similar to it's chicken and noodles soup.

About 95% of the time, I buy this flavor of Campbell’s soup. I buy 5 cans each time for $10 on sale at Target. (2024). I have everything except the rice. I am not a rice fan. However, our full grown husky dog here LOVES the rice! He does his « happy dance with his feet » and husky talks « Want more. » when he knows he will get my rice when I am done. I barely can put the nearly dry rice on a plate for him or on top of his dry kibble! He is so eager to have this rice he will jump up to the plate trying to get it faster! He hardly never jumps up anymore at 13 years old. But for him, 30 seconds faster to get this rice is worth doing a jump! I did check the ingredients and salt level to be sure it is safe. Check with your veterinarian if in doubt. Thank you, Campbell’s, also for introducing me to okra. The only place I ever tried okra was in this soup. Overall, this soup can create a special bonding time between you and your dog, if your dog enjoys spicier food. Rice: Be aware rice swells up. That’s why I don’t eat rice. Our husky can handle all the rice because he is a big dog, a « foodie », and a dog who daily drinks a lot of water anyway, as we are in a hot/ warm / dry climate, Southern, CA. For a smaller dog, ask your vet how much rice, spices and salt is okay for your dog. I am not a vet.

This actually has a bit of a kick and I will absolutely be purchasing again.

This is so good and so surprisingly spicy. In my experience, a lot of grocery store products labeled spicy are still pretty mild, but this definitely has a kick. I just wish it were a little less salty, but it’s very filling.

This was disgusting, and both of the meats tasted like burnt plastic but not the rest of the soup.

Could use some more spice but great on flavor. Will buy again!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I will be honest, I was expecting a little more from Campbell’s Chunky Soup - Spicy Gumbo. Now, to be fair I live in Southeast Louisiana, so gumbo is a staple of my diet. The quality is good, not great. The flavor is good, not great. The spicy-ness is good not great. I would recommend only if you a looking for a quick lunch or dinner and making homemade gumbo. It is good not great. There was plenty of chicken and sausage which was nice. The spice was mild, and governs the name “spicy” I was hoping for more. It will fill you up but it won’t wow you. Not bad Cambell’s but was just hoping for more flavor and spice I guess.

When I saw Campbell's come out with spicy gumbo, I figured I'd try it. Wow, I wouldn't even call Chunky Soup, soup. It's a meal. More like Dinner in a couple of table spoons of broth. I'm a big Chunky Soup fan now.

I just had to add a few added crackers, it cut the heat and made an amazing meal. Plenty of meat inside with both chicken and sausage in the mix.

It has just the right amount of spice and was a hearty, chunky soup as the name implies. One can filled me up and left me wanting to purchase more for later. Great job Campbells!

Nothing like a warm soup on a cold day. Love the easy pull tab on the can. The only downside was it was a little too salty for me. Recommended but watch if you are watching your sodium.

The flavor is pretty good, but it needs more rice, vegetables, and meat. If they made this soup more thick with more ingredients included it would be really good, especially if you like spicy food.

It was spicy, but it was spicy enough that worked good with the soup combination. Quick and easy to prepare.

The calorie count actually isn't terrible at only 320 for the entire can. What I have a hard time overlooking though is the amount of sodium. 1850mg if you eat the entire can. That's a whopping 80% of your recommended intake for the day. I enjoyed the soup until I saw the nutrition label.
