Great tables and chairs, even better customer service

This is definitely the most solid and durable table I have seen recently. The chair is heavy and looks like real leather. It was also very easy to assemble. The table and chair did arrive separately but no worries, everything arrived and looks amazing. I contacted customer service because I was worried that things would be scattered and not neatly arranged, but they sent me a FedEx number and assured me that everything would be delivered on time, which it did. I have to say that their customer service is the best I have ever encountered. You will not be disappointed with this table and chairs.

Sturdy and child-friendly

This table and chair set was easy to assemble. The finished product is very sturdy! And it is also kid-friendly. My 2 and 3 year old granddaughters eat at this table and the chairs clean up very easily with just soap and water. I bought the cream color chairs and they still look like new!

Good basic set

Despite the size, the table was well packaged and arrived undamaged. I wasn't missing any parts either, as some people have mentioned. I did think the instructions (especially for the chairs) were a little confusing, but we figured it out in the end. It just took some patience and creativity! While the table seems sturdy due to the solid wood material, I didn't feel as good about the chairs. I'm just not sure if they would hold up to frequent use. I also didn't feel like they were very comfortable (the cushions are thin). But this is a small, minimalist table at an affordable price, so giving up some comfort is to be expected. I do think it would be great for someone just starting out or with limited space. I also think it would be great for use as a crafting table (my plan) or even in a kid's playroom. There are so many options with this set.

Simple but good quality

My product arrived in a bulging box, so I was a little concerned about what would be inside. Other than a dent in one corner and some loose hardware scattered around the box, everything was fine. Luckily, there was no serious damage, but the product packaging seemed inadequate to accommodate so many heavy components. The table was quick to assemble, requiring only eight bolts. Once tightened, the table felt sturdy. The chairs were a different story. The instructions and drawings were not intuitive, so it took me a long time to determine if the parts were correct, as they were not labeled. Eventually I discovered that some of the holes on the drawings were not in the correct position, and some of the holes were not used during assembly. The first chair took a while to assemble, but the rest came together quickly. The worry with these parts was that they felt too minimalistic overall, with a thin frame and seat. Surprisingly, the chairs felt very sturdy once assembled. This is probably due to the solid wood used, and the generous use of dowels and bolts. The fabric seat and dark lacquer finish also make them look very nice. I was a little disappointed that the tabletop is some kind of MDF, but it does look like a real wood veneer. This table is a bit crowded with four chairs on either side, but it might work better with one chair on each side. The price seems good, and overall, this set is a good value for a minimalist dining set.

Assembly issues

I gave this furniture set 3 stars because it was a little difficult to assemble. It would have been much faster if the bolts weren't covered in a layer of blue plastic. I had to scrape off the plastic first to get the bolts into the holes properly, which was a lot of work. Also, I had to use a drill bit on a ratchet screwdriver. I understand the feelings of people who can only assemble with the small Allen key that comes with the set. I assembled everything myself, but the table is too heavy to flip over after one person assembled it. This is not a disadvantage, just a practical problem.

Very pretty �C but not 'real wood.' Be sure to read the fine

After years of searching, I stumbled upon this extendable dining table almost by accident. It ticks all the boxes for me - beautiful and stylish mid-century design, extendable, sturdy and elegant base, good width, good base length, and can be extended to seat up to eight people. Best of all, it comes with six matching chairs, all this, and at a great price. The package arrived promptly - everything was in perfect condition (the company warned me by email that the tabletop might be broken, but if so, no worries. No issues here at all!). My husband and I assembled the entire table in about 90 minutes (don't let the instructions fool you - it says "15 minutes" but it actually took a lot longer, and it required two people because the table is heavy and the screws needed to go into some hard-to-reach places). It's beautiful, exactly like the pictures, and works great in our dining room. My only qualm is - it's definitely not "real wood". Instead, it's made of very fine engineered wood, information you can find in the description of the "table only" version, but not in the description of the set we bought, nor in the description of the table and set. It still looks great (the color is warm), and I'll slowly get used to the feel of the surface, but I would definitely think twice about ordering it if I knew it wasn't real wood. Always read the fine print!

Very good dining set

Very good dining set, the iron support is strong enough. The total installation process takes about 1 hour and can be done by one person without assistance. the table is not too heavy, and one person can lift the table and move it it.

Best table I've ever bought

Love this dining set! I bought the set of six white leather chairs and it is beautiful and great quality. I especially love that it has a hinged plate to adjust the length of the table (it is shown in the pictures and video). This dining set is really great quality and the white chairs are easy to wipe clean even if they get stained. Also…one thing to note…this dining set comes in five packages so the shipping dates may vary. They did not provide tracking numbers for all five packages but I received all of them within about a week. All in all, it was a great shopping experience and I am so glad I chose this dining set!!!

Poor manufacter service

The table and chairs was nice and sturdy. The glass table was damaged by where it connects to the table. We didn’t notice this until everything was assembled. The manufacturer refuses to send just a glass piece to replace the damaged table top. Now I have to disassemble and return to Target and then find a different table to buy.

Come on

only problem was the screw holes were unaligned. I couldn't use some of the screws on all of them so that I can fit the parts. but I managed to keep them sturdy. note for the company, selling a cheaper kind of something doesn't mean you can't measure twice and cut once
