The Sylvania H11 Silverstar bulbs are praised for their brightness and clarity, providing a significant improvement over standard bulbs. Many guests appreciate the easy installation and the enhanced visibility they offer, especially for night driving. However, concerns about their longevity persist, with numerous reports of bulbs burning out within a year. Despite this, the overall performance and light quality make them a popular choice for those seeking better illumination on the road.

Don't buy from Auto Zone - no Auto Zone return after 90 days
These are bright headlights, but they usually last less than 1 yr. The pkg reads that you can return them to the retailer, but there isn't an option in the auto zone system for warranty after 90 days.

Gone through 2 packs
Second pack of these in 5 months. They dont last long if you live on a bumpy road the filament just breaks on it.

i would not buy again
Purchased H11ST-2 low beam pair on 11/18/24. One bulb already failed on 2/25/25. Brighter than stock but very poor quality.

Low bulb life
I purchased this two pk in April of 2023, October 2024 my driver side bulb went out. I would not suggest these, when the bulb I replaced lasted since I purchased the vehicle back in 2019. I hope the Silverstar Ultra I purchased lasts longer.

Dont last long
Not sure what their life expectancy is but it's been an every 6 to 8 months thing on my mom's car. Replaced the entire wiring harness' as well last time to make sure that wasn't the issue. Nope.

Designed for premature failure
OEM bulbs lasted over 10 years and recently replaced with these Sylvania just over a year ago. One bulb already is dead, the other not too far behind. Reading the reviews, you will see these bulbs are purposely engineered and designed by Sylvania to last just about a year and at almost $30 a bulb, the only one that benefits is Sylvania by having to replace yearly as opposed to over a decade with OEM bulbs. So sad profit over quality is now the new norm :-(

Disappointing
Purchased a set late Nov. 2023 and they went out this past week, March 15,2024 really annoying to buy a product that doesn't last, and their customer service is just as bad.

Only lasted 3 months
Bought a set of headlights from the local auto store back in Dec 2023. Noticed one of the lights out in the beginning of March 2024. Now the other side just went out. Both need replacement in 3 months

Do not purchase - they do not last
Do not purchase this - lasted a few months - not worth it at all.

Should I buy again?
I replaced the passenger side low beam bulb with the H11 Silverstar on 10/27/20. It's 2/20/24 and I have to replace it again. The factory bulbs are still fine after over 9 years in service and 160,000 miles in my 2015 Suburban. From other reviews, I'm wondering if Sylvania has a problem with this series of bulbs. I'm on my way to buy a replacement and will look for a better quality bulb. This bulb is a pain to replace and it's a chore I don't look forward to doing again and again.

I expect these to last more than a year
I purchased these bulbs a year ago to see if the more expensive bulbs were better. I just had to buy another set and the clerk asked how long I had them, and laughed after I said they're a year old.

No
I have 2 GM vehicles that use the H 11 bulb. They are bright, but they burn out very quickly. Most last just over a year. They tend to burn out within a few days of each other.

They last about 6 months
I put one in in July and had to replace it in January. Why bother with the longevity bulbs if they only last a few months.

Save your money
Don't last, run hot, short live, can't see 10 feet in front of the car with them. Under powered.

They just don't last
Bright, but I replaced two in a 2015 Highlander for the first time a few months ago and the driver's side already died. So the originals lasted 8 years, but the replacement only lasted a fraction of the time.

Rated only for 150 hours life
Which is somehow less than both the cheaper Xtravision and the more expensive Silverstar Ultra (230 hrs). These are junk.

Bulb went out 6 months after purchase
Bought this bulb back at the end of May and it's already gone out. Supposed to have a 12 month warranty?

Nice and bright but don't last
I bought two of these for my 2008 Tundra in 2020. I was extremely happy with how bright they were compared to stock which lasted MANY years. On 7/4/21 I had to buy a replacement. Then on 4/17/22 I had to buy another replacement. On 12/27/22 another one went out so I bought two just in case. Now (3/8/23) another one went out so I have to use that spare I bought. I always use bulb grease and handle the bulbs with gloves. These bulbs just don't last. I've spent too much money on these bulbs in the past two years. Next time a bulb goes out I'll look elsewhere.

Lasted just 13 months!
No wonder it's a 12 month warranty. Bought a pair Dec-2021 and one bulb already burnt out...just out of warranty. Visibility is better than the stock yellow bulbs, so there's that...

Not buying these again!
My original equipment bulbs were working after 7 years. I decided to replace them with the silver stars. After less than two years of use, I need to replace. Didn't find them to be brighter than OEM.
