Saltair Recovery & Restore Damage Shampoo - 14 fl oz

I’m not really sure why so many people have had a negative experience with this shampoo and the matching conditioner. It smells good and performs well. There is no residue like some people are reporting. The shampoo appears to be a low-poo type of formula, but it effectively cleans!

Just bought this product smells ok was kinda scared to try it after all the review's I read. But I’m one of those people don’t huge a book by its cover. Will be back with my own review. To be continued!

Smell is awful. Either the bottle is bad or it’s made this way. Won’t purchase again.

I have short hair, so I typically only use shampoo. I use a Native 2-in-1 daily, but I love this shampoo! It makes my hair so soft and my hair styles perfectly every day that I use it. I will continue to repurchase based off the daily results I’ve seen.

I like the smell of it. I’ve been using it for a month now. I have thin medium length hair that’s colored. It’s been working good for me so far. The only negative thing I have about it is I have to use two pumps to get a good lather.

My favorite shampoo of all time. Wish they made it in the larger 30oz size, or even a 20oz. Same with the conditioner.

I have fine wavy bleached hair and I love it. Smells great, comes out thick,no hair fall and on day two my hair is normally greasy but not after using this. Sulfate damages hair so it makes sense this is sulfate free since this is a product for damaged hair. Sulfate is what “lathers/bubbles”. Glad I didn’t read reviews before purchasing. Since it is a moisturizing product with the conditioner- I opted out from my usual leave- in and just wash, condition and Kendra wave paste. That’s it smells great/ low maintenance.

Made my hair fall out

I think this is causing hair loss. My hair is NOTICEABLY thinner since using this shampoo and conditioner. It is not volumizing at all. It does smell good and lathers well when hair is sufficiently wet.

I would give 0 stars if I could. Terrible. Doesn’t lather well and I’ve only been using it for 2-3 weeks and my hair is falling out in clumps!!!! I can tell my hair is so much thinner! Do not buy!!!!

This shampoo smells amazing, is super hydrating, suds up nicely, and overall works fairly well on my thick, porous hair. However - it does make my hair greasy sooner than other products. I can usually go 3-4 days between washes, but this product (when coupled with the conditioner) has me at every 2 days, and I fear that's pushing it. But the day of washing and the day immediately after, my hair is like SILK. I got compliments at work on the look and smell of my hair - so if you are truly combating dryness this may be the one for you! Definitely wouldn't work for fine or thin hair - it would weigh down too much.

Ugh, this was just HORRIBLE. I have long, fine, straight, highlighted hair & had high hopes because I love Saltair’s body/bath products. The shampoo does not foam at all and feels like it’s just sitting on top of your hair even though you’re trying to really work it into your scalp/hair. It left my hair feeling heavy and greasy. I do love the design of the bottles & the scent was ok.

TERRIBLE product and not only causes a ton of damage and frizz, it also leads to your hair falling out in clumps!

I have used the shampoo a couple of times and while I absolutely love the smell, the product just doesn't work for me. After use my strands felt very dry, and I felt like it quickly got greasy the next day. My hair has really loose waves, semi-fine strands but there is a lot of it. I usually go 4-5 days between washes but couldn't go longer than three with it.I think this would be better for finer hair.

I wanted to like this product because I tried their body wash and loved it! ( the dark green bottle-I think the scent has been discontinued sadly) I’ve been using for about a month and will have to stop. My hair is dry and my scalp is SO itchy I can’t sleep. I’ve been using it with the conditioner and I agree with others who say you can’t get a lather and need to use 3x the product. The scent is nice but the product isn’t working for me. This plus the luxury price tag (since when is shampoo & conditioner $25 dollars???) has me disappointed. Won’t buy hair care products from this brand again.

This shampoo definitely helped with my damaged hair, I have to give it that. I had heat damaged hair, and after a few uses of the shampoo and conditioner I saw a noticeable difference. However, it simultaneously dried out my hair too. I've never had hair that looked so good but was also so dry. I think if you have oily hair (like me), it'll repair damage without drying it out so bad that you end up with breakage. If you already have dry hair though, I'd avoid it. Definitely keeping this on my shelf in case I notice some damage, but will absolutely not be my go-to shampoo.

I bought and used the repair shampoo and conditioner of saltairs. I have thick, medium length hair, and it left it feeling dry, yet somehow really greasy at the same time after rinsing it out. It smells good in the bottle, but is overwhelming once on your head and even when you're hair is dry. It has more perfume than it does soap I think.

The first shampoo that doesn’t leave my hair feeling greasy! Love this and will be purchasing again!
