Wood warps
I really wanted to love this product, and I do like the look and idea behind it. It was easy to put together by myself. However, I am very disappointed in the quality. Within a month of the item being outside the wood began to warp and has continued to worsen over time.

Okay so this one isn\'t BAD, but it\'s not as great as many competitors. As noted by another review, it absolutely is not weather resistant and will need to be stained yourself. There are no drainage holes at the bottom like every other competitor has and must be drilled yourself. The wood is extremely light, not to the point of feeling fragile but definitely feels cheap and much less wood-y than a similar item I bought last year. Once put together it\'s fairly solid, however. Overall I don\'t HATE it but for the amount of work you have to put in for it to actually be weather resistant and drill drainage holes, you can easily get a different brand.

Updated review
I bought this planter this spring, about 5 months ago. I did not give it a stain this spring because I did want products around my veggie plants. I love the design but unless I treat the wood with some type of weather protection I don't think it will make it a full year. We did have rain almost everyday for about a month and it took it's toll on the overall appearance. I wish I had paid more and bought a box made from cedar. If you buy plan on treating it with some kind of protection before you plant.
