Terrible unless it's exclusively for a baby (board books) --not great if you have a lot of books and books that are for ages 2 and up (when you start getting into taller books). Shelves are impractical. Put together but considering returning.

PROS: Great for small spaces / CONS: Minor assembly hiccups
Bought this for our little one’s room for hold his toys. We loved that it wasn’t overly big or bulky, so it doesn’t take up too much space. It was relatively easy to assemble, however there were some pieces that were not cut/measured perfectly…meaning we had to “get creative” to get the pieces to fit into the assembly. Also one of the pieces was slightly damaged (pictured) -but just cosmetic. All that said, we like it for the low cost & ability to fit into small spaces!

While the item itself may be fine when assembled, I don't know because the assembly kit included was for a completely different product. when I contacted costway to see if I could get the correct kit to put it together, they told me that Target would handle it. The only resolution was to return it, so I did.

It’s the style I was looking for, but the instructions were horrible, the material and screws were very poor quality, and the back panel lines didn’t match up so my husband had to make his own cuts to get it to go together. We were past our window of retuning it so we are using it temporarily until we find a new one of much better quality. Very disappointing.

You get what you pay for
I found this on sale ($69.99 down from $200+). I knew the material was going to be on the cheaper side but never in a million years would I have paid full price for this. It will do the job and we will see how it holds up in a kids room. Took over an hour to put together and screwing in the pieces left white flakes everywhere. One of the boards also had a visible crack in the paint but didn’t seem to structurally change anything. A few paint chips here and there as well.

Do not buy this if you want straight shelves the pre drilled holes did not line up it was completely off if I used them I would have not been able to use the shelves. Had to drill my own holes just to make it work because I spent a half hour putting it together before I realized. I will attach a picture so you can see how off it was.

This item was delivered with two chips in the wood. Really disappointing as it was a gift. While it is very cute the shelf size is not large enough for tall books so they have to be flipped on their side.
