Poor quality - seam inside hood split

I wore the coat general than a dozen times. After only a few wearing, the seam on the inside of the hood split open. I expected better quality given the price of the item (not cheap!)

On the 3rd time washing the best, the seam at the bottom of the vest opened up and spilled down. Very inseam at the bottom of the vest. Threw it away. Disappointed as it was expensive even on sale. Poor workmanship. Loved the fit and color. Wanted to order the same vest and color since LE products are usually good quality but out of stock.

    Simply Awesome Jacket

This jacket is both warm and light weight. I bought a small tall as I wanted a little longer length. I am 5’3”, 125lbs and the fit is perfect. Blue color is great as well as zippered pockets and easy pull on hood if needed.

    Best lightweight jacket for travel

This is the best lightweight jacket I own. It’s perfect for travel and rolls up to fit in a carry on. I love the style very flattering.

    Should be great for winter!

I purchased this for next year so i have not worn it. I am reviewing it on fit only. I am a size L and a 14 and this coat is more than large enough-perhaps too large but i have not tried it on with any thick layers. The sleeves are certainly long enough. There are two pockets with snaps so good for kleenex and a phone. I am sorry there is not an inside pocket but with the snaps it should be safe enough.

    nice looking with midrange quality

I bought this in black — love the length, covering your backside, nice deep & zip pockets, cozy & light; negatives: no double zipper, or zipper pulls and I would be unable to wear a bulky sweater underneath— as a little snug underarms with no gusset to allow for extra room! I guess for these upgrades you need a better quality brand — like NorthFace; I bought a size M — 10-12, as a L would look sloppy; still deciding if I should exchange for a men’s M!

    Missing the feathers

Ivory Shine is more like lemon chiffon. I can see through the jacket as all the feathers are clumped together. I think LandsEnd is using AI in quality control and it’s awful. I have had to return everything in the last couple of months. As soon as the USPS notification dings, I am requesting a return.

    Not well thought out

Sleeves are short, cuffs are large and the zipper does not have two way zipper. Definitely disappointed.

    This isn’t worth the money

Coat got damp with snow and had a terrible smell. I washed it on delegate and it came out with the little fill in it balled up. It basically has nothing left for warmth of any type. It’s fabric to fabric.

    It's ok...

Here in Illinois, the winter is brutal. The wind makes it so much colder. I tested this jacket on a 15°F day, with minimal wind. I am a larger size on top than on the bottom. What I liked: It is very lightweight, it is a nice navy color, the sleeve ends are wide enough to wear gloves, the length. What I wasn't too crazy about: There is no drawstring at the bottom to cinch tighter to the hip, letting the frigid wind under the jacket below the waist. I wore a t-shirt with a sweater over it. I noticed that my arms felt the cold through my clothes. I wish it was a little thicker and had a cinch-cord at the bottom. I had to size up because of my top half. I wish clothing designers figured out that women have breasts, and they might not all be "A's" and "B's"

    bungee cord hood is useless

I live in FL and wanted something lightweight but warm since it rarely gets to freezing. Boy was I wrong this year, it is in the 20's but this jacket kept me warm even though I did have layers. I would give a 5 but did not realize the bungee cord for the hood is on the back of the hood, completely useless, hard to reach and tighten. Could not keep the wind off my head and ears.

    2 Things Missing

Would be a perfect 5 if it had two things: 1. Sleeves 2" longer. Just because I got a plus size, because I like a loose fit and want room for layering under, doesn't mean I have short arms! 2. An interior pocket at breast level to hold a small wallet or cell phone. Guys are not the only ones that like interior pockets!

Incredibly warm for such a light weight!

Just got the Lush Burgundy in a Tall Medium and love it! It is so light but wore it briefly outside in an Arctic Cold Front and was comfortable, my hands even stayed warm just being in the pockets. Happy I went with Tall because the sleeve length is perfect.

Coat is light weight but sleeves are way to short and I have short arms. I thought it was a winter coat not warm at all. More like a fall or spring coat.

    Cheap Coat

Very Disappointed! So thin that you can't even tell there is a down insulation. It was a birthday gift to my granddaughter. She tried walking outside at 47 degrees and was cold. I wore it to take her to school and didn't feel any warmth until my car heater started warming up. The coat is useless other than maybe as a rain coat.

    Felt like short-cut quality

I have been a long-time Lands End fan. Decided to splurge on a new winter coat. Found the features of this coat to be exactly what I was looking for including packability. Disappointed in the quality as compared to past coats/jackets my family has purchased. Bottom of jacket lacked fill, sleeves were noticeably too short and lacked full arm coverage for cold weather, and when wearing just needs constant adjusting to fit right. This just missed the mark.

    GREAT Jacket!

This jacket is great-warm without bulk, a little longer with stitching that accentuates the waist and is very slimming. The ONLY thing I'd like is a detachable hood, but beyond that I think this is a great jacket!

Coat shredded in the washing machine!

I washed this jacket just about two weeks after buying it, and it SHREDDED in my washing machine! The coat was great until washing it. But for the price I’d expect MUCH better material and craftsmanship!! Fortunately I can return it.

    Want to buy

A longer jacket is exactly what I’m looking for except without the hood. I have a long lands end reversible jacket with no hood that I love but it’s at least 15 years old. I look every year for a new one but every year the coat is offered with a hood.
